With the post-season almost on us, it's time to start looking ahead at the team finances. Currently the 2010 salary cap is projected at somewhere in the neighborhood of $107,300,000 which would result in the following result:

As you can see, Charleston is entering a difficult time of restructuring. Will they have to dismantle the team, or can they free enough dough by renegotiations?

Excellent stuff!

I'm probably going to have a few more renegotiations before the season is done, so look for Tucson's next year cap figure to rise.

I have a few renegotiations to do as well- namely Butch Fulton; although I might just slap the franchise tag on him.

We're looking good! :)

Shipping Mathias out of Detroit really cleared the future capwise for us...

I don't anticipate too much of a problem. We'll get some money back as soon as we cut Willie Meyers, who has not come back from injury but has a big contract. I also anticipate getting some money back from renegs. We probably won't be very active in Free Agency, but that's OK, because we're still in a "slowly-improving" phase.

Very nice work.

We're in better shape than I had realized. We will have to franchise and sign Toothpick, though.

Thanks for the reminder. If I hadn't have 5 guys go down for 40+ weeks each, I would have another 8 million to spend.

Having to renegotiate contracts to free up money for useless free agents to field a team is gonna hurt for the next few years a bit.

It'll be VERY nice to finally be out of cap hell. I just gotta be careful not to overspend and get right back in it...

looks like Alexis Rounds busting has done wonders for our cap situation. The result to our on-field performance on the other hand...

Shreveport will be in worse shape before the season ends. We have a couple of high profile players on the last years of their deals. We'll want to lock them up before free agency hits.
