Nice stuff. I hope this is the year for you (except when/if you play Boston, of course). :)

Following week 2, the Hitmen resigned [b4782ce0]DT D'Ottavio[/b4782ce0], our young stud DT, to a 6 yr 44 million dollar deal. The move was designed to use up a chunk of the 2010 cap that is sitting unused in the bank to reduce the cap costs in the future years of the contract. This locks in what will be one of the anchors on our DL at very reasonable cap costs for several years to come. The same strategy was applied in signing [b4782ce0]WR Dawkins [/b4782ce0]and [b4782ce0]S Richard [/b4782ce0]to their three year deals. As it stands, there are only a couple players with deals that expire at the end of the 2010 season and management will be making some determinations in the coming weeks whether they will be resigned or allowed to test free agency. The most notable is starting [b4782ce0]FS Hoagland [/b4782ce0]who is an 11th year vet and may be playing out his last season in Chicago this year. Stay tuned.
