But don't let that fool you: these teams can light up the scoreboard through the air as well. Boston's offensive line is arguably the best in the CFL, while Charleston QB Landon Hurst makes plays with both his arm and his legs (3,169 career rushing yards). Hurst's scrambling abilities will be needed this week as Boston DEs Ralph Crank (9 sacks) and Isaiah Melo (11.5 sacks) will be collapsing the pocket all game. Weather may be a factor in this game.
Weather forecast: 40 degrees, rain.
Point spread: even

Charleston RB Toothpick Lang
1,236 rushing yards (9th in CFL)
4.30 yards/carry (career best)

Fargo QB Brett Hedges
323-510 (63.3 completion %)
3,731 passing yards (7th in CFL)
23 TDs, 8 INTs

Fargo Boxcars (12-4)
at
Sacramento Dragons (11-5)

Sacramento RB Butch Fulton is the favorite to win his 3rd straight Offensive Player of the Year award. Last year he played a wild card game against Sacramento (when he was still on the Tulsa Talons) but suffered a serious shoulder injury late in the 1st quarter and never returned and Sacramento went on to win 28-20. The offseason shoulder surgery was obviously a success as Fulton led the CFL in rushing yards and receptions. The hamstring injury to WR Matt Brunner seems to have taken the spark out of the offense and Honolulu's 8-0 start is a distant memory. If he plays or not, the offense may rely more heavily on workhorse RB Weldon Rayburn (9,096 career rushing yards, 6th in CFL history). Tampa Bay was 0-5 against playoff teams this year including an overtime loss to Shreveport in week 7. Their offensive star this year was RB Vinny McKnight who finished 3rd in the CFL in rushing yards with 1,562.
Weather forecast: 64 degrees, fair.
Point spread: Shreveport by 1

Shreveport QB Douglas Hartman
2,768 passing yards
Questionable (leg injury)
