If Painter does go, he'll likely have more help back there than he's used to. When Lenny's 'on', it doesn't matter who he's pitching to. And Jennings looks very impressive. Very. He really seems like their most important weapon right now. Cars will probably be playing without McCune (bad knee) and trying some different looks (per usual) to keep track of that tailback. (Someday we'll work on cohesion. We took some big steps this week to finally get some stability at LB. Some of you might have noticed. It's been mix-and-match depending on the opponent since I took over and I don't think we've used the same exact set of linebackers more than a game or two in a row. That will end by next season.) I'm sure Vegas has the guns on defense to manage without Ah Yat. Looks like they certainly do. And, yeah, it'd be nice to be able to pull out a win without leaning on Rufus 'Rock With Hands' Eklund, but... I'll take'm anyway I can get'm. He was stifled against the Caps, so he's due for another big outing. |

BTW, thanks for the write up. We're a really boring team by design so it's a little nice to get noticed. |

Our divisional rivals have usually given us trouble whether they were really good or really bad. It's sort of like a college rivalry that's always close, I guess. In fact, we've gone 41-11 in the regular season since 2008, and our divisional adversaries were responsible for 7 of our 11 losses. Only 1 of those 7 came against a team with a winning record (Seattle last year). In other words, even though Oregon is 0-4 I expect it to be a pretty tight game this week. |

If we were still running the 4-3, Ah Yat's injury would be huge, but in the 3-4 I think P-Dub will fill in nicely. I hope you can do it without Ecklund as I plan on taking him out of his game at all costs. BTW, neither Poole nor Olsen will be the key to the passing game, it's the SE opposite of Poole. If McDonald can get his Big-Play-ass in gear, it should be an entertaining mix of a grinding ground game and an all-out aerial assault. Olsen likes to eat zones for breakfast. Ditto on the publicity. Sure is nice to make the top of the list occassionally. |
