I pointed out Memphis as major overachievers last week. How about Baltimore and New Orleans for underachiever of the year candidates? Statistically, they are top 5 teams, but N.O. is 4-6 and Baltimore is 3-6.

19 interceptions have killed New Orleans, while Baltimore's offense hasn't racked up points to match their yardage output. They are the number one offense in yardage but 7th in scoring.

I agree with those two picks for contenders for the Underachiever Of The Year Award, but I'd throw San Antonio into that mix as well. Yardage-wise they're about average, but somehow they've managed just a 1-8 record.

Good call. They've had a ton of bad luck this year. The curse of the Toothpick? Perhaps.

From a talent perspective, Tulsa has probably had the most disappointing year. The Franchise Value screen rates their roster as the second best in the league, and they are 3-6.
