Each week, The CFL Inquisitor sends beat reporter Norm DePlume across the country to ask the league's owners some burning questions.

This week, Albany owner thater, is on the clock for Norm DePlume's Burning Questions:

[bc80bdc4]#10[/bc80bdc4]: Who was the biggest surprise on the Crow's offense in 2014? Defense?

My offensive surprise had to be [player]Johnnie Diaz[/player]. I was expecting more from him in his second year, but was not to be, probably a casualty of very erratic offensive game planning.

Defensively, my surprise was [player]Chester Germany[/player]. Former 7th round pick, and a 2nd year player pressed into starting time when a career ender (practically) hit [player]Ian Barker[/player]. He started 10 games had 7 sacks, 14 hurries, 3 blocks, and 3 forced fumbles. He may never see much playing time in this league anymore, but a heck of a year last year.

[bc80bdc4]#9[/bc80bdc4]: What are your rules for trades? Is there a franchise you will never trade with?

Well, after getting burned in another league, I never make a trade that would only help my team for one or two seasons. In 2k4, I used to like trying to pickup as many picks as possible with the unstable boom system, and I got lucky a few times. Now, I prefer to try to get picks in the top three rounds. I have mediocre players already, I don't often see many 4th plus rounders making much of an impact on my roster. I do not like to trade in division, but I will never refuse a deal I feel helps the Crows more then it hurts us.

[bc80bdc4]#8[/bc80bdc4]: Who is included on your Owner's Box guest list?

Well, Eddie Vedder is always welcome when he is in town. We have converted H. Jon Benjamin from a Boston fan, so that is cool. He is a very funny guy. Richard Dean Anderson and his daughter have dropped by for a few games. Always have a seat open for MacGyver.

[bc80bdc4]#7[/bc80bdc4]: With some solid drafts in your back pocket, what is the final piece needed to start your run at four championships?

I think the youth on defense may need a year or two to grow into their roles. Also, need to get better on the O-Line, but we are headed in the right direction to be the first franchise to four championships in my mind, just hope to keep Fisk happy and healthy.

[bc80bdc4]#6[/bc80bdc4]: EFC or WFC and why?

EFC, Vegas is in the WFC and that is all that needs to be said.

[bc80bdc4]#5[/bc80bdc4]: You seem to draw the attention of TurfToe quite often, what advice can you give dberner30 about diffusing TurfToe's mancrushes?

One must know that TT's ego is bigger than any of his other appendages. He plays the ass clown because he is good at it, and it often helps him make his point. I like to point out when he has a good point because I believe there are a few GM's who tend to not pay much attention to his posts thinking it is just more ROF talk that no one cares about.

[ic80bdc4]Norm: The more burning question is how you know what size TurfToe's appendages are?[/ic80bdc4]

[bc80bdc4]#4[/bc80bdc4]: Which division is the strongest in 2015? Which do you fear the most?

EFC Yankee has to be the strongest. Hartford has yet to falter and they always seem to have another team get a wild card or challenge for it at the end.

The division I fear the most is my own, the EFC Great Lakes. With the improvement in this division, this really is going to be a shoot out for years to come.

[bc80bdc4]#3[/bc80bdc4]: What is your favorite CFL town to visit? Why?

Huntington Beach, great weather and we have never lost to them, so that helps.

[bc80bdc4]#2[/bc80bdc4]: Plain or Peanut M&M's? What's your favorite color?

Peanut M&M's, blue, because I do not care for milk chocolate.

[bc80bdc4]And Norm's #1 burning question[/bc80bdc4]: You have to mud wrestle a CFL personality. Naked. Who is it, Paul E. Weakly, The CFL Pressman, Klemu Hakkinen, or Norm DePlume?

The way this is worded, it seems that only I am naked and my opponent is not. So I would have no problem facing any of them, but I would like to see Klemu get Klobbered.

[ic80bdc4]Norm: Oh, we are all naked and ready![/ic80bdc4]

Next up, Weakness, Cheesehead Craig, and more!
