The Tigers return two rookie starters to this weeks game against the reigning champions, New Orleans Raging Horde.
MLB Darryl Stokes returns from an elbow sprain he picked up in the week 2 game at Huntington Beach. In the two games he started for Brooklyn, Stokes recorded four tackles, two assists, and one interception. Much is expected of the former Kentucky Wildcat. Former starter at MLB, Peter Svensk, has played in all four games this season and has recorded ten tackles with four assists and has received credit for three passes defensed.
"We like our young MLB tandem. We're set there for years, but Peter is getting tired and Stokes return for the New Orleans game is important." G.M. David "Hoosier" owens.
Another defensive rookie, LDT Otis Arnold from Indiana University, missed the Shreveport game with an abdominal injury suffered in the win over Albany. The fourth round pick is expected to help shore up the d line and add depth to another young defensive unit.
Also, rookie wide receiver Emmit Tucker will get the nod at starting while rookie Ralph Darius will be inactive. "We'll continue alternating the rookies, but this is a big game. Tucker is a better possession receiver and is very good at catching the ball in third down situations."
When asked about his chances against New Orleans, head coach Hec Maxwell was quoted as saying. ..
"It is what it is."
