San Antonio forces three fumbles, one returned for a td, and gets an interception and frustrates our young Tigers.

We lose. Our qb seemed intent on throwing long bombs and that's . . . confusing since my gameplan and gameplan adjustment screens don't allow that many desperation heaves.

Yeah...your defense did an excellent job against our run game as well. It didn't help that we lost our big left tackle early in the game. The real difference was the constant pressure we had on our QB. Brooklyn just didn't seem to have an answer for [player]J.J. Houston[/player] & [player]Toby O'Donnell[/player] today.

Great job by our punter [player]Scott Owens[/player], placing all 4 of his punts inside the 20, including 2 at the 1 yard line. This helped us win the field position battle and keep things close in the first half despite a missed extra point. Rookie RB [player]Daryl Abrams[/player] fumbled 3 times which is discouraging, and my best offensive lineman, LT [player]Kurt Warren[/player] strained his hamstring. But otherwise another quality performance on both offense and defense (holding [player]Charles Richmond[/player] to just 3 catches and 43 yards. Good game, FFF, you've got a nice core of young players there who are coming along well.

Unfortunately the upgrade did not improve my team's predilection for penalties despite my coach's rating of good in the discipline area. Between the penalties, fumbles, and interceptions...it's going to be a long season.

Very frustrating indeed. Crane had an excellent game but when the Toros are held to one quality drive the entire game, Goodwin held to a 66.6 passer rating, and your own QB has a 111.6 rating day, it should be an easy win.

If it is any consolation (and I doubt it is) I was about as aggravated as one could be when watching this in Solevision. The gameplan implementation by the AI looked NOTHING like what I had drawn up. Defensively, I had arranged the gameplan to severely limit the use of goal-line personnel packages, yet on your opening drive alone we used it FOUR FREAKING TIMES. And then on the other side of the ball we somehow called for nearly half of our passes (17 of 35) to be bombs. I like to stretch the field on occasion, but that is a ridiculous proportion given that we were never in desperation/panic mode. Bad dice rolls, I know, but sometimes this game makes me want to pull out the stubble on the top of my head that I charitably refer to as "hair."

Still, gg TT. Traveling to Vegas is never fun, and your guys played well enough to win. See you in Week 15!

[player]Branden Lin[/player] bounced back after a couple of off weeks. He outdueled [player]Charles Dever[/player] to get the victory and also won his third OPOW this year with 337 yards and 4 tds.

Not really happy with our defensive performance, but when you're up against a guy like Dever, you're going to get beat at least part of the time. We forced a turnover, and kept them out of the end zone on one scoring drive, and that was enough. [player]O.J. James[/player] had his first good game in Boise with a sack and 3 hurries.

It's just one game, but man it's awesome to see us finish with 2 penalties for 10 yards, one of which came with 3 seconds on the clock.

I didn't patch early enough once in FOF2004 that cost me free agents in the first few rounds...it mattered then.

lol...interesting reading on the AI issues...i say it again...jim can put out all the silly little patches he wants to fix shit like the injury issue, the penalty issue, and how solevision shows the outcomes...but that stupid asshole needs to patch the 2 minute offense functions of this silly ass game...im sick of seeing drives with less than 3 minutes on the clock needing a simple FG to tie ending up with a turnover on downs right away following 4 bombs away plays...that isnt real...that isnt even close to real...with that much time you dink and dunk and sometimes throw a longer pass...you run your damn offense...this drop back and throw deep ass passes into a four deep zone waiting for you is retarded. im so frustrated i could spit...

Yeah, I was fully patched.

I'm sure this can all be chalked up to a bunch of really wacky rolls of the dice. Games like this happen, I suppose. I just wish they wouldn't happen against my division rival!

Not trying to call you out, but I looked into this one and you're really exaggerating. First of all, you didn't face a 4 deep zone once in the 4 downs. The playcalls were bomb-intermediate-bomb on the first 3 downs against strong side man on 1st and 2nd and 2 deep bump on third. Maybe 2 bombs is not ideal here, but against those coverages, it's not a terrible call. The intermediate was a fairly high percentage play (53% against that coverage.) Your QB had overthrows on all 3, so it really didn't matter what the defense did. On 4th and 10, it was a medium pass against a 3 deep zone, again a high percentage play (about 63% against that coverage), but it was a moot point as a DL blocked the pass, which is on your o-line.

This is not to even mention that you actually had 2:27 and 1 timeout starting at your own 17. You needed 50 yards just to make it a 50 yard FG attempt. It wasn't like time wasn't a huge factor.

I just thought it was interesting - it seems like everyone (myself included) exaggerates when they are complaining about the game. One time I ranted and raved, blaming a loss on my defense going into dime when the other team was trying to run out the clock. Someone pointed out that I was exaggerating profusely, and when I went back to look, they were totally right.

sure call me out...i didnt plan to post and then read the other post and just tossed out the defense call based on poor recollection...what you said tho raises a lot questions you seem to know answers to. Where do you get your percentage values for these plays. And doesnt the overthrow represent the QB not getting the ball into the man on the coverage. If you throw deep your chance to overthrow grows. But seriously...if you have this down to percentage chances for various types of throws against coverages where did you get that data from. I cant even tell from this stupid game what an intermediate pass, short pass, or very short pass amounts to as the yardage numbers reported freaking change all over the board. some 5 yard passes are short...some 5 yd passes are medium...some 5 yd passes are very short...and before you say YAC that isnt it either...what am i missing that lays out these percentages for you...
