Boy - [player]Nolan Shannon[/player] has really played well while Ellard was out. Had no idea I could get this much out of him. The loss to Durham was through no fault of his own - in his two starts he's over 100 QB Rating.

Ellard is back for the stretch run to the playoffs, so I'm hoping we can pull it out. We control our own destiny right now, so no one to blame but ourselves if we don't make it.

OMG! I was hoping to keep it close, not expecting a solid win. Jeff Reid and our defense came to play, putting pressure on Lester and picking him off three times.

Good game, Taco, and best of luck the rest of the season. :)

Thanks, Jeeber. Congrats on the win. We never got anything going on the ground and your team played virtually mistake-free. Good luck to you, too!

Good game, Turftoe! I can't believe we won. It seemed like a fairly well matched game except for the interceptions.

The injuries were costly though. Hoffman's thumb is broken. Green (who was just coming back from another injury) and Graham are both out. Green for a week or so, but Graham is out for the rest of the season due to ankle surgery. :x I notice that Las Vegas wasn't left unscathed either.

Wow, that was disappopinting. Instead of solidifying ourselves as a playoff team we can't catch the ball against one of the softer pass defenses we've played all year. I think that is the most drops we've had in a game this year.

I have to tip my hat to the Memphis defense as their red-zone defense kept us out of the endzone on 3 visits.

gg Victorious

My once favorable schedule looks to net me a 3-2 record down the stretch at best and speaking of stretch, I'm only a 3-point favorite at home versus Anchorage. We have officially lost all respect from the AI.

Hey thater, go have a chat with Gridiron Greta this week and tell me what you think. Then I will tell you to stick that in your linebacker pipe and smoke it.

And if the season ended today, Albany would have a home game in the 1st round of the playoffs despite their 0-5 start and 4-7 record!

A shootout against the Calibri, and we win a fourth quarter comeback.

It was a tale of two different offenses. . . Long Beach was scorching hot in the passing game while the Tigers tore it up on the ground and did just enough passing to keep it somewhat balanced.

Gotta talk to the defensive coordinator. . . .

We're within a game of .500! Scrappy little team of Tigers!

Oof. We got roughed up pretty good in New Orleans. gg Meatholes.

I haven't had a chance to look at more than the boxscore, but I'm really surprised we tried 11 deep passes. I had fiddled with the gameplan specifically to keep that from happening this week. Probably a result of the brilliant 2-minute code Jim has crafted, but frustrating nevertheless. Hrmph.

It was a pretty sloppy game. You did manage to knock out several of my guys, though most should be back for the end of the season/playoffs. We're down to our 3rd string QB for the next couple of games, our nickel back will miss 2 or 3 and former Cleveland WR Ernie Cooley is doubtful. We've gone from pretty much completely healthy to really beat up the last 2 weeks.

Our defense got the job done this week, though, holding the Flats under 300 and to just 6 points. We needed the D to get it done as the 3rd string QB hit just 1/8 of passes, though I suppose it didn't hurt that the one he completed went 67 yards for a TD.

New game plan really sucked. Somehow, I am still in first and it will be a battle to the end. I do not think 6 wins will be enough to take the division, but 7-9 division winner is not out of the picture. Yeah, started 0-5, won 4 of last 6 probably should not have changed anything, but we were not winning by much.

I don't have access to the game yet, I will watch Greta tonight, TT.

Any news on the injuries from either side?

Close game vs Fargo until TE [player]Kenyon Robinson[/player] took a 10-yd pass and went 54 yards for the go-ahead score. Otherwise it wasn't much to write about.

Wow, it feels good to get a win.

Especially since we were in control for most of the game, running the ball down Seattle's throat, even getting two 100+ yards runners in a single game, which might very well be a first in franchise history.

I was nervous till the end though, as a fumble deep in our own half gave the T-Birds a chance to come back within 7 points, and Dever is one of those QBs where a 1-score lead is often not enough.

We eventually did manage to hold on to our win, it feels nice for a change.

And with our pathetic 3-8 record, I can't believe we're just one game out of first!

No, it's that fear-inspiring 1 game winning streak by the Wolfpack. The AI doesn't want to play us right now. :)

After a horrific start, QB Stevens went 13/19 in the 2nd half to lead the Wolfpack back from a 1st half 17-7 deficit.

It was a game of returns.

Anchorage S Rodney Horton had a 94 yard interception return for a TD.

Chicago WR Shaun Wirtz had an 89 yard kickoff return for a TD.

Great game, Chicago!

GG Shreveport.[/quote9673fee]

We almost got Shreveported again. We missed 2 FG's and fumbled the ball while trying to kill the clock in our own zone with under 2 minutes left. It was great to see the young QB have two good games in a row. Oddly in the game, there were no sacks from either defense even though there were 2 rookie QB's starting. What does that say?

GG, Craig.

I don't know, maybe that horrible offenses are best complimented by lackluster defenses?

Or are you just bragging about dem dere bookend tackles?

Denver could keep from making critical penalties and from turning the ball over. Had to play behind the whole game and could never quit did myself out of the hole. Good game Smitty. My defense couldn't stop a grandmother pushing a shopping cart this game.

I liked the match up coming into the game. We actually executed the game per the game plan???? Strickland and Fish came up huge in this one.

Now we have Durham next. I would like to thank the scheduling gods for this back-to-back challenge.
