Well, the Tigers go down fighting, but still come up short. It is a watershed year for the young Tigers, although we cannot sit back and enjoy an 8-8 season for too long. We can't make the same mistake Cheesehead did and fall backwards after achieving a years worth of success. The Tigers are young, very young, and I see nothing but a huge upside for us. It'll be interesting in the offseason. GG Hartford. . . now, go make some noise in the playoffs. . . |

Boise wins the battle of 3rd-string QBs 23-7. Anchorage QB McIver didn't disappoint. He threw 6 (count 'em...6) interceptions. Congrats Boise and good luck this week vs. Long Beach! |

I have a few more grey hairs from that game. We blew a TON of opportunities including several turnovers in Durham territory that we did not score on and an INT return to the 1 that we go -1, -1, incomplete and settle for a FG. Apparently we lose the tie-breaker to Hartford which sucks, but at least we get a home game. |

[quotead2aa0e="General Mike"]I Made the Playoffs?!?[/quotead2aa0e]Yeah, pretty sad showing from our conference this year... Only 5 teams with a winning record. We get an 8-8 division winner and no one with a winning record missed out on the playoffs. Edit: I take that back. 6 teams. Charleston had a 9-7 record and lost the tie-breaker to you. The Atlantic (I think that's the name of our division?) is clearly the cream of the crop here with 3 of the 6 winning record teams and the lowest team having a 7-9 record. |

GG Meatholes! The score makes the game look a lot closer than it ever really was. Good luck on defending your championship! Go Deep South! |

Thanks for the encouragement in the playoffs, we will try to kick some ass for the Deep South. |

Finally the season is over... We should be picking 4th or 5th in the draft, and hopefully can get a difference maker to bump us back to our comfort zone of 8-8. Raffo got his 1,000 yards (barely), DE[player]Mitch Pike[/player] led the league in sacks with 14.5... A couple bright spots on a bad year. I'll be ready to get into the offseason. |

I managed to pull off two 1,000 yard receivers and my TE was over 800.. very successful season for this offense where the young players have finally all come together to make something happen. |

ehhh... I don't expect a playoff run, but it's nice to get here. I have to shout my love for [player]Lane Manuel[/player]. With absolutely nobody at receiver (due to injury), he somehow found the open man and got us a win. Also, it was nice to see [player]Derrick Bottoms[/player] do something on special teams. He hasn't had a great year. gg dberner. See you next year. |

Congrats Boise and good luck this week vs. Long Beach![/quotec22cacb] GG Stretch. We were a little lucky to get all the picks, or it really would've been a toss-up. The yardage and first downs were basically dead even. You drove up and down the field and did a great job of containing Philyaw aside from a handful of big plays. Unfortunately, God stepped in with a minor miracle to prevent us from earning the bye. An 89 yard Tom Whalen kickoff return for a TD as time expired gave Santa Cruz the comeback win over Texas and the #2 seed in the West. Unreal. Now we have a tough choice to make at QB. We've got a probable Bucky Ferraro or a doubtful Branden Lin. Ferraro has a moderate chance of reinjury to his knee, while Lin is a low risk to reinjure his clavicle. |

After looking through the end of season stats some more, my CB [player]Floyd Browning[/player] had one of the most interestingly horrible seasons for a CB I've ever seen. He had 0 INTs, 0 passes defensed, and gave up 58 catches for a PD% of 68.2. Normally I would say the hell with this player and get him off of my team right away, but he had great run stopping ability so I played him a lot in the nickel spot (those guys seem to get quite a few more tackles than the other ones)... and he had 98 solo tackles & 26 assists for a Tk% of 12.4, that is very high for a CB. Now the dilemma is what the hell do I do with this guy? He sucks horribly in pass coverage, but is such a good run stopper that I feel I need to keep him in the nickel spot (basically be a smaller LB on the defense in nickel coverage). He is also best in zone coverage so I might just take the 5% hit and move him back to SS... I don't know... Another CB of mine [player]Cole Giles[/player] put up 4.5 sacks to go with his 4 INTs, and 11 PDs. He had never had a sack before this season... Pretty impressive season for 12 games. |

Woohoo, first division title since 2006! Our defense was unstoppable, recording nine sacks and six hurries and allowing 189 total yards. Dustin Hayes had a very nice first half with three TD passes which let us run the ball all second half and allow Jeff Reid to amass 132 yards on the ground. Of course, what do we get for winning the division? We get to face freakin' Denver. Again. Gah... |

I just realized that we have won 15 straight against our divisional opponents. I find this incredible as it doesn't seem like it was that long ago that just about the only games we lost were to our Ring of Ice rivals. In 2008, for example, we went 13-3 with a 3-3 record in the division. 9 of our 15 losses from 2008 through 2011 came at the hands of Seattle, Oregon and Anchorage. |

Depending on what your roster looks like he could probably be moved to backup your current starting SS while filling your nickel role. It would be a shame to cut someone that can make tackles like that...some teams could probably use him as a LB. |

A 4th quarter comeback to set up an OT win in a meaningless game that just screwed our draft position... just great... Well, at least, it was Albany that we defeated, so there is some satisfaction. We finish 3-3 in the division, and I can't help but wonder what would have happened if our out of division had not been so brutal (we played 5 of the 6 playoff bound teams in the Eastern Conference, 4 division winners...) |
