| Post subject: | New Salary Cap Rules |
After all of the debating, testing and indecisive votes, Taco and I have decided that it is best for the league to go forward with a semi-cap freeze. Here are the details... 2018 Salary Cap : $166,800,000 (no cap restrictions) 2019 Salary Cap : $174,600,000 (no cap restrictions) Before the 2020 season, the salary cap setting will be changed to 20/20. We will manipulate the sim so that we end up with a five-year television contact. With the 20/20 setting, the salary cap will rise $2 million a year over the five years of the contract. 2020 Salary Cap : $176,600,000 2021 Salary Cap : $178,600,000 2022 Salary Cap : $180,600,000 2023 Salary Cap : $182,600,000 2024 Salary Cap : $184,600,000 As a league we will reevaluate this during the 2024 season and decide what we'd like to do for the next television contract. |

Something I think everyone should look at again before offering up Free Agent contracts and to make sure the newbies check this out. |

Again, a reminder to some of you who cut people during the playoffs and offer contract extensions during this time as well. The cap is not going up much next season. |
