If you trade someone who has a signing bonus...

Does the players new team pay the entire bonus on their salary cap?

No. When you offer a signing bonus, you are on the hook for that signing bonus no matter what.

Now, I'm not sure if its like when you cut a player (bonus for that year counts that year with the rest counting next year) or if you're on the hook for all of it at once, but I do know you're on the hook for that signing bonus.

If you cut a player it is the same as if you trade a player, the first year's bonus comes off that year you trade him, the rest comes all in one hit in the second year.

yep what John said is accurate. You always have to pay the bonus if you offer it. And the only time it comes in one hit is if a guy retires, then it comes all that season. Otherwise, it's split up over 2 seasons.

Motormouth is gonna have to convince McCalla to retire after this season and give you a nice $10 million cap hit.

That evil thinking little shrimp can't convince McCalla to do anything... he'll be lucky if McCalla let's him glance in his general direction! :x
