If you trade someone who has a signing bonus... Does the players new team pay the entire bonus on their salary cap? |

No. When you offer a signing bonus, you are on the hook for that signing bonus no matter what. Now, I'm not sure if its like when you cut a player (bonus for that year counts that year with the rest counting next year) or if you're on the hook for all of it at once, but I do know you're on the hook for that signing bonus. |

yep what John said is accurate. You always have to pay the bonus if you offer it. And the only time it comes in one hit is if a guy retires, then it comes all that season. Otherwise, it's split up over 2 seasons. |

[quote71da16b="wademoore"]If you trade someone who has a signing bonus... Does the players new team pay the entire bonus on their salary cap?[/quote71da16b] Motormouth is gonna have to convince McCalla to retire after this season and give you a nice $10 million cap hit. |

That evil thinking little shrimp can't convince McCalla to do anything... he'll be lucky if McCalla let's him glance in his general direction! |
