[b9294c06][u9294c06]TAMPA BAY TORPEDOES MEDIA REPORT[/b9294c06][/u9294c06]
Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes traveled to play the Brooklyn Tigers and lost by the final score of 38-27. Tigers QB [player]Brent Caputo[/player] was named MVP as he completed 20 of 27 passes (74.1%) for 266 yards with 4 TD's and an INT. Offensively, the Torpedoes run game setup their passing game successfully. The Torpedoes allowed 4 sacks. The Torpedoes scored 20 points on 4 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes controlled the clock and set the pace of the game. Defensively, the Torpedoes struggled as they allowed 428 total yards of offense. The Torpedoes struggled to stop the Tigers on 3rd down. The Torpedoes allowed 31 points on 5 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit atop the AC ATLANTIC, but their lead is slim and there is no margin for error. The Torpedoes (7-5) travel to play the Santa Cruz Privateers (6-6) next week and need to find a way to win this game. Can the Torpedoes find a way to win on the road or will the Privateers prevail at home?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "This was a disappointing loss. We need to play better defensively. We allowed too many yards and couldn't come up with key stops. We had our chances in this game, but we couldn't get it done. We need to put this loss aside and get back on track next week with a win. We will review the game film and find ways to improve. We travel to play the Santa Cruz Privateers next week and need to win this game. We need to set the tone early on defense, get our ground game going, and make this a physical game if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
