A huge win for us.

Truth be told... I had no intention of starting [player]Blaine Hoffman[/player] but [player]A.J. Jeffries[/player] fell victim to REX. It ended up working out in my favor.

Hoffman's efficiency, combined with Anchorage's case of the dropsies and a couple of Fisk interceptions, led to a surprise victory. I'll take it.

gg Stretch.

Sheesh. GG Detroit. Horrible day for our defense, and our offense got held to FGs too many times early. It was also one of those days where we got killed on kickoffs - The Vampires started their go ahead drive at our 47. We started the next 2 drives at our 15 and 16 (and promptly threw INTs.)

At least Anchorage lost as well.

Our defense forgot to get off the plane for the game. Cleveland was moving the ball at will. Meanwhile [player]Norm Fisk[/player] scored 7 for us and 7 for Cleveland. Not good.

GG Cleveland. At least Boise lost ;)

Also, 2nd game, 2nd player with a season-ending injury. I freaking hate this field.

Ouch, that was close! We beat El Paso by a FG with 20 seconds left on the clock, after finishing the game with our third-string QB.

Wow, what an ugly loss. The Attack outgained Santa Cruz by nearly 200 yards and held a 10 minute advantage in time of possession, but Fletcher misses 3 field goals and Harden throws 3 interceptions. The last interception was return for a TD and gave SC the win.

Look at that, we win again and start the season off 2-0! It's been a long time since I've had this much hope for our team.

QB [player]Justin Garner[/player] is looking more and more like the real deal. He has another great game with throwing for 2 TDs and rushing for 80 yards. He led a huge 7 minute drive in the 4th Q to give us the lead.

We're loving the Atkins diet here in AZ!

[player]Chad Knight[/player] gets his 3rd INT of the season and the defense really stepped up for a final stop to end the game with Grant Hackett getting a big 16 yd sack forcing a 4th and forever.

GG Meatholes.

I am pretty happy with the start of our season at 1-1. It is always good to beat Honolulu. Marvin Barton had the game of his young career, rushing for 109 yards and returning a kick for a touchdown. He set an Express record for single game all purpose yards for 294 yards.

Our offense is still stagnant though. We are ranked near the bottom in all offensive categories. Jermaine Milburn was a bit more efficient this week, after looking like Jake Delhome in Week 1.

The defense, on the other hand, has been one of the CFL's best units. CB Monty Wiley had a big game, returning a pick for a touchdown and being the second leading tackler in the game.

It's great to get a win against the champs. TT, you gotta figure that everybody will be coming hard for you this year. I'm a little disappointed that [player]Austin Torres[/player] got snubbed for Defensive Player of the Week after racking up 6 tackles, 2 picks, and 1 sack from the safety position.

I'm liking what I'm seeing this year so far. The offense is not turning the ball over. The defense is. That's a good broth to stew a winning season in. Torres has been a monster from the safety position. And I've had a surprise at DE with Rookie [player]Lincoln Nafis[/player]. After looking like a bust at camp, he's becoming a player. He's constantly after the QB and is credited with a sack and a half, plus a couple of knocked down passes and QB pressures.

GG, TT.

Oh Fershizzle! Just saw this one:

[quoteab10cd3](3Q: 05:26) [player]Brenden Bullock[/player] kicked off 61 yards from the SHR30. [player]Vinny Levine[/player] returned the ball 63 yards to the SHR28. Tackled by [player]Brenden Bullock[/player]. Ball was fumbled and recovered by SHR [player]Lamar Finnegan[/player] on the SHR28.[/quoteab10cd3]

My kicker hit Levine so hard Levine dropped the ball! One man to beat for the TD and he fumbles. LOL! Bullock may be seeing some action at safety next week.

Well, my team sucks, we've not looked like winning a game yet, my defence can do nothing right, my two starting safetys are now sidelined for a lengthy period, despite signing new staff who all have very good discipline we continue to give up annoying penalties which are costing us points, and now to cap it all off I seem to be unable to use periods to end a sentence and have forgotten all about paragraphs!!!! :smt011 :smt013 :smt093 :smt076

I agree we should have lost that game, and my 2 starting DT get injured

GG Masked!

Now off to the slaughter house, have Tuscon next and the last 2 years it seems I have key players injured.

Good game Cheese. I looked at the box score but not the game log yet. I do not think I have any excuses for this one, you guys played a great game.

Nice job

Yes, another week and another loss, yet we are moving up the power rankings. Go figure.

We are finally healthy on the front seven and expect to cut down on the points allowed next week. It should be a good test with Fargo coming to town followed by tough games at Boise and Arizona.

The turnovers are killing us again this year in the early going but we were able to overcome them last year so we'll see what happens. There might be some changes made in the near fututre to wake this team up. Then again, we may start off 0-3 and vault ourselves to the top of the power rankings. Gotta love FOF.

If the TO's weren't bad enough we have been shooting ourselves in the foot with some untimely penalties. Hopefully the rust has been shaken off and we can get down to business. We're only 0-1 in the division and conference so we have plenty of time to make our move.

GG RH

It was actually reported that the skirt that Levine was wearing got in the way and caused the fumble. I think he just has a fear of men with miniature shoulder pads and helmets without facemasks.

GG Tampa,

We didn't capitalize on the opportunities and Tampa made us pay. It was a hard hitting game with a few minor injuries. It's a tough loss, but we got outplayed. Good luck the rest of the year.

I knew this would be a tough game, but I figured we'd at least be competitive. I really tinkered with the game plan this week trying something different as we have always had trouble with Goodwin and company.

Tough loss, Shooter. I really didn't feel like we played all that well, but some key turnovers really inflated the final score.

Hum, wow! That was quite unexpected, I never thought we would be able to keep up with you guys.

We gave up a shipload of yardage, but, like you say, held you to FGs twice and that ended up being the difference.

Defense sealed the win in the final minutes by picking off Bucky twice, one of them being returned for a TD.

Good game to you too Timmy, it could have gone either way.

oh, and I absolutely loved this play:

[quote85a487e]2-9-BOI48 (3Q: 05:00) Ricky Morton ran inside the right guard for 15 yards. Tackled by OLB R.J. Baron. The ball was fumbled and recovered by BOI CB Andre Bailey for 9 yards to the BOI42. [b85a487e]Tackled by QB Shane Hall[/b85a487e].[/quote85a487e]

Not the fumble obviously, but how Hall sacrificed himself to tackle the guy. Gotta love a tough QB! :D
