First export I have missed in a few years, fortunately it didn't hurt us. I was planning on starting Dever to give him a shot at playing Walker one time before he retires but Moore did good in his stead.

We continue to give up long D/ST TD's but I'm not sure how to fix that.

gg Muggert. I haven't watched the game yet but just glanced at the box score. It looks like it was a competitive game at least.

edit: Just noticed I get my first serious injury action the week before we play Tucson. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Our offense took the 2nd half off but our D held on to allow us to get the win.

Honolulu put a hell of a pass rush on us with 6 sacks and I'm surprised Gardner made it out alive. This win gets us back over .500 and stops the losing skid we were on.

GG Meatholes,

You had us stopped for three quarters, but [player]Bo Benware[/player] - The Endzone?, Been There - had too many big plays up his sleeve. The last one being a 55-yard TD reception with 1 minute left in the game that put us up 1 point. We did what we wanted to defensively, we recovered from our atrocious bout of "Where's the run defense" that we displayed last week. [player]J.J. Kaeding[/player] still got the game ball in the loss, so kudos to him for hitting his passes against our secondary.

edit: Note that you got the full effect of a Shreveporting . . . Controlled the clock, Gained More Yards and lost . . . to Shreveport. Nobody except maybe San Antonio gets Shreveported the way New Orleans does.

GG Chris, we had a ton of Offensive in the 1st and all defensive in the 2nd, it was an very exciting game to watch. 14-9 win..

Is Honolulu the Detroit Lions of the CFL? They had some success early but now look as if they will be very bad for the foreseeable future.

No, not quite the Lions. They will beat us at least once this year.

Oh come on, surely it wasn't that bad.
The game was actually very close, and it was only the punt return TD (the 2nd this season already by Ike LeTourneau) that broke the game open.

And then later on a fumble returned for another TD by the defense put the icing on the cake, but really, your defense held our offense pretty much under control.

Damn. We actually held the Toros to under 250 yards but our offense made too many mistakes - a fumble returned for a TD and an INT deep in TUC territory both in the 4th quarter really broke our back. The Tucson D deserves credit for that, of course - they made Bucky Ferraro look like Geraldine Ferraro pretty much all day. GG Fonzie.

gg to you too, timmy. If you'd told me yesterday that we'd gain just 236 yards in this game, I'd have bet the farm on us losing. By a lot. But as you said, those turnovers bailed us out in a big way. *whew*

That sucked ass. Leading 13-6 then Atlantic City scores 17 in the last 7:30 to win 23-13. Gotta stop losing the turnover battle game in, game out, can't keep winning like that.

Holding Tucson to a couple hundred yards and Kent Goodwin to a 60-something passer rating has proven to not have any influence on defeating the Toros. You must beat them in all three phases.

GG RH

We bent over and took a Shreveporting for the second time this year. I saw the stats and have not been able to get myself to watch the game yet. I've seen this one before.

You guys did what it took so congrats. This game was a killer in the standings.

Texas move to 2-6 for the season and reach their bye week.

With the division leaders at just 5-2 can we possibly close the gap in the second half of the season. A bit of luck on the injury front wouldn't go amiss either....sheesh!!
