We are playing our best football at the right time of year. Our 3rd straight victory moves us to 8-6 and in control of our own playoff destiny. Unfortunately the 4th quarter was painful as we got a couple significant injuries: TE [player]Russell Gitler[/player] and LT [player]Ian Rayburn[/player] are both key parts of our offense and may miss the rest of the regular season. |

wow, I knew our run defense was bad but holy shit. Losing 2 starters must have been too much as an injured Lanner who most GM's wouldn't have in the lineup (good job AI) with a strained hamstring (good level of performance and high risk of reinjury) surely set some records against our sieve. I'd hate to see the stat line of a healthy Lanner against us. Either way, Dever's 3 interception day will likely be the way he ended his career, as he will not see the field again this year if I can help it. I can now insert my rant about FOF injuries. I have been healthy all year and expected to get bitch slapped down the stretch but why has Jim not fixed the positional focus aspect of injuries in this game? Why is it that DE's and CB's are the primary defensive injuries on defense? And why is the first injury at those positions indicative of further injuries at the same position? Is it because they are the key positions on defense? I'd love to hear an explanation on this anomaly that has survived two versions and several patches. gg Rex, glad to give Honolulu at least one win this year. What's the over/under on how many of the three players playing with hamstring injuries in Honolulu get ruined by Rex playing them? 1? 1-1/2? |

Terrible, we are faltering down the stretch. |

Completely forgot that the game sim was moved up a day, but playing against Tucson it really didn't matter. Tied with 11 min left and then we can't do anything and Tucson scores the last 10 pts for the win. Highly doubt I could do any better had I done any gameplanning. We get 5 players fully healthy after this game however so our injury front is finally looking better as for the first time in 4 weeks I'm under double digit players on the injury report. Sitting in 5 way tie for the 2 WC spots right now and if I want to make it to the playoffs, gotta win out. It's a big challenge but we'll see how we can do. |

[player]Ted Tosheff[/player]'s second straight 100-yd game helps us in a crucial division win over the Monitors. If we can hold the division lead for another week, it should come down to the game vs Durham in week 17. |

A couple of very costly turnovers and the AI management of the clock at the half kills us. With 26 seconds left and 2nd and goal from the 1 yard line, we decide to kick the field goal? Granted no timeouts, but common. GG RH and congrats on the division, it's all yours at this point seeing as you have Honolulu up next! To add injury to insult, [player]Roy Jones[/player] goes down for 8 weeks with a broken fibula. |

Did you give up 28 points off of the 4 turnovers like we did last week? Oh, no. Okay, just checking... That's not your pride stinging that's just the jagged edge of karma you're feeling. |

To add further insult to injury. I forgot that there was an early sim and didn't submit an export. If it's any consolation, the game plan that couldn't beat Tucson beat you. Huge win for us in Santa Antonita. As is usual the name of the game was turnovers. This was more characteristic of our rivalry than our earlier offense-a-thon matchup this year. Gotta love [player]Carl Bradford[/player]'s ability to escape the rush! GG, Shooter. |

The fact that you know going into the week that you are going to face (Jones running off left behind Copley), game plan against it and still can't stop it is what the reference was about. You should know the feeling having to face Goodwin 2 or 3 times a year. |

After starting the year 1-6, we've since went 4-2 against some good teams too. Maybe, all the off-season changes have taken a little while to settle in, it may be a case of standing still in the hope that some continuity can push us forward next season.... ....baby steps eh!! |

A dominating performance by the defense allows us to clinch our first division title since 2014 ! Woohoo, Vampires are back! the game started out horribly for us with the Crows returning the opening kickoff for a TD, but then we shut them down throughtout most of the game (Albany scored a meaningless TD in garbage time). The defense forced turnovers, and stopped the Crows time and time again. Meanwhile, the offense wasn't stellar but had enough possessions and enough short fields to score 30+ points. Really happy to bring the division title back to MoTown after some lean years and near-misses these past 2 seasons. |

You should know the feeling having to face Goodwin 2 or 3 times a year.[/quote0572cf0] Then next time we meet I will game plan against Jones (assuming his leg injury doesn't hinder his career) since the last game was about blitzing Sheen. I thought you were just being pompous but I guess it was just your inability to read: [quote0572cf0="TT"]We're also glad to help Roy Jones get his rushing stats back on track. I know he was injured earlier this year but he didn't seem to be having the same success he had in the past. [b0572cf0]Our gameplan might have overlooked Jones while trying to shutdown the high-percentage short pass attack. We failed miserably on both counts[/b0572cf0]. [/quote0572cf0] [quote0572cf0="Sh00ter"]What I really liked about this game is you knew what was coming and couldn't stop it. [/quote0572cf0] I'm not sure how you can read what I posted and come to the conclusion that I gameplanned against Jones running behind Copely but I guess that's why we have the Internet. Your explanation is so confusing my head hurts. While I gameplanned against the Sheen Dink-n-Dunk and failed - and got Roy Jones'd in the process, it really was the 4 turnovers resulting in 28 points and another 7 from a blocked punt TD that made the difference. I think we need to add a Smack Talk FAIL to failblog.com on your behalf. Considering your field position on 3 of the 4 turnovers (LVS 24, LVS 32, and LVS 36) I don't feel as bad about my defense giving up those points or my gameplan for that matter. |

GG Doug, We simply got up early and played keep away. Ugly ball at it's finest. The game was very clean with few penalties and no turnovers. I had one injury that was only minor. I hope to get my team healthy before the post season. Denver W 29-24. |

Like Detroit, Hartford clinched their first division title in several seasons. The Attack scored on 6 of 8 possessions in route to a convincing 41-16 win over second place Brooklyn. We have a couple of weeks to allow some key players to heal and are still in the running for a bye week. |

Oh my. I'd completely forgotten today was a sim day as well. We played pretty well, but got crushed in the field position game. Were it not for that this might've been a comfortable win, but the Outlaws stayed right here with us nearly the whole way. Tough loss, CC. |

Damn, the season is almost over- I have hardly been around this season, and I appologize to the other owners. My first real tax season is in full force, and just let me say- it pretty much sucks. Due to the hurricane extensions back here I have been working my ass off since early December, when I leave work before 8 I feel like I'm getting off early. Another month and I'll be done with that shit for a while, and can concentrate on the important things- like fake football, good tv, and my netflix queue |
