[player]Marcus Davis[/player] is probably my second favorite FOF player of all-time (Hi, Ottis), but he seems to be on his last legs. He didn't look like himself in the carries I gave him and he managed to lose three fumbles. It's time to blow this thing up...

GG Seattle. We took too many penalties and sacks and were forced into too many long yardage situations. The defense couldn't stop anything, which I'm sure will be a common refrain this season.

A strong passing defensive effort nets us a win on the road at Durham. 2 sacks and 8 hurries really helped us out. Our offense did enough to get us the win but our run game is really struggling early on.

Unfortunately the injury bug has hit us yet again. Now our starting CB has a broken foot (out 6 weeks) and the starting TE has turftoe (full health time unknown). That's 8 players on the injured list already. We spent additional time in training camp to help prevent these things and our coach is good at injury avoidance. Guess the FOF hatred of AZ is too strong to overcome.

GG Hedgehog.

The Boise D pitched the 9th shutout in franchise history and the first in 3 seasons. Really, everything has gone about as well as possible the first 2 weeks.

Larry Reese did a good job filling in for injured QB Wendell Matthews, but we couldn't overcome a fumble on a punt return by rookie Richie Ragland that was returned for a TD. Lost stud MLB Duane Eastridge for 5 weeks with a broken jaw, our second bad injury in two weeks. Our defense couldn't stop a strong New Orleans ground attack. GG NO.

Good Game Bisbo. We were both playing backup QB's, so I did not expect a lot through the air. Our RB's came up with some big plays and the D played solid enough to get a win. We were sporting 9 on the injured list going into the game, but came out of it with 3 getting healthy and only adding one more back on. Progress. :D

OUch.

Our offense moves the ball fairly well at times, but turns the ball over 5 times!

Meanwhile, our defense just can't stop the Privateers offense, except in the red zone.

Nothing to add really, we lose to a stronger Santa Cruz team.

Good game Fascat.

Hmm, it's only week 2 and we've already lost as many games as last season. Not good at all.

There were some good and some bad things this week. It was nice to see the bend-but-don't-break defense back in action. We didn't turn the ball over and were able to turn over some of TB's possessions. Unfortunately, even though we forced 3 fumbles we didn't recover any. Vince Richardson has been getting some time at the nickel position much to Josh Jammer's dismay and he continues to hit guys like he did in the preseason. He has forced at least one fumble in each of the games he saw significant playing time. He may remain the starting nickel/dime back if he keeps up this pace.

We tweaked the offensive gameplan a little to maximize Moore's performance and it seemed to work. However, the running game appears to have stalled so we'll need to find some answers on the ground. Our matchup with Anchorage next week means those answers won't come easily or soon.

Arizona's quick jump on the division and continued success in Week 2 may turn into a wild goose chase as the season progresses but we'll have a better handle on the situation once we face them in Week 7.

The Hitmen gave a strong performance against Long Beach. We were able to move the ball well on offense and our defense made big stops and 3 turnovers, putting our offense in good scoring range.

Hoping to keep it going this week against Durham.

Managed to jump out to a lead against Albany, then ran the ball until time ran out. Had TOP by close to 15 minutes. Sweet. :)
