Post subject:  The Legendary Olsen

After several years since being last observed in public, [player]Lenny Olsen[/player] (a.k.a. Jackpot), who was rumored to have vanished off the coast of Australia while surfing 2019's 100-year storm, was witnessed throwing a CFL football yesterday.

Olsen hasn't vanished in a bizarre surfing death, but rather, has resurfaced in Las Vegas. Four weeks ago, one of the league's legendary characters signed on as a cosultant with his former team, the Las Vegas Rounders. Coincidentally, Vegas started looking like a different team about 4 weeks ago. Although Olsen has declined several requests for interviews by the local media, GM TurfToe has announced that local and national media may have access to Olsen at the Rounders' facilities near the end of the season. For now he says, the Rounders are focused on salvaging an abysmal season that he hopes is the last chapter in their current rut.

It's obvious that Olsen was brought in to work with Morris Moore, who was thought to be the team's savior when he was drafted 2nd overall in 2016. MoMo's play has been impressive over the Rounders' four game winning streak where his passer rating has been 121 compared to his season rating of 85. His completion % of 71.4 over the last 4 games is a substantial improvement from his season's 60.6%. Other statistical differences include a TD% of 9.2 compared to 5.4, an interception % of 2% compared to 3.6%, and a yards/attempt of 8.9 versus 7.1. Signs of Olsen's influence are obvious.

What remains to be seen is whether Moore and the Rounders can continue to win against significant competition like Tucson and Chicago in the coming weeks. TurfToe said he has his sights set on playing spoiler to both good records and playoff hopes in the next two contests and vehemently denied any involvement in shipping decaying food products to any GM's that may be on his upcoming schedule. Especially if one of those packages contains spoiled bull meat.

KLAS will likely be running their usual homage to Olsen when and if access to Olsen is permitted. Stay tuned...
