Our record against division foes is 37-82. Pathetic. That's bad. Really bad. And I need to change the direction.
I traded away the 4th pick in the first round for two first round picks in the next couple of years. The patch has a new player generator, and I'm betting the players generated in the rookie draft
will be better suited for the patched version of the game. So...it seemed like a good gamble.
The Outlaws probably won't be any better than they have in the past, at least not this season,
but I had to get competitive. Garrison gives us that chance and I spent the cap surplus going after him.
I've never spent that much money on a qb before, so it'll be interesting. Outlaws rank dead last in attendance and I think Garrison, idolized by fans, will help at the gate. So will winning.
Offensive Outlook: Football Outsiders Magazine had the Arizona Outlaws Offensive Line ranked first in the league with a +9% rating. The bulk of the offensive line returns and should provide Garrison with time and room to maneuver. I like the nice mix of young studs and veterans on the o line...makes it a bit easier to plan for the future.
Offensively, we don't have that premiere running back and that could pose a problem. Utilty back Antonio Ramirez did rush for 915 yards, just missing 1000 yards in only his second season played, fourth in the league.
FB Monty Warren was All League 1st Team Fullback for 2022, and was All League 2nd Team Fullback the year before. I will gameplan to include him in the offense in both the run and passing game.
Garrison is the future. Wideouts McCarthy and Reeves, and veteran TE Peterson, could see a lot of action catching the ball this season as Garrison is something to crow about. I should see instant improvement with him behind center.
Defense:
I'm transitioning into a 3-4 and the d line is solid. Not spectacular, but solid.
The linebacking corp is the weakest link here and Kelvin Shaw and Lee Cencerik are going to be asked to
tutor three rookies right away.
Defensive backs are solid and unspectacular as well. we need to improve this bunch in the next draft..
Coaching Staff:
New Offensive Coordinator Mack Durham brings with him an instant upgrade. Good with quarterbacks, recievers, and kickers, he should help the passing game mature.

I'm Surprised he signed with us..the former Maryland Terp would have been better served geographically to sign with Boston, but damn glad he didn't. I think he's the perfect qb for the new patch.

Milburn reminds me of a qb I have in the DFL, Burt Hughes. They're very much alike and the DFL qb
has a qb rating around 98 in a West Coast Offense, so I felt he was the perfect backup to Garrison.

Again, a player I drafted for his speed at the position, and his pass rush technique and his 40 time are pretty darn good. A technique tackler, he'll have time to develop as he'll be playing
behind a veteran, but I think he'll stick with the team for along time.

Drafted for a passing down running back, Brandt has excellent bars in blitz pickup, avoid drops, getting downfield, route running and third down catching.
Breakaway speed is decent, has decent power, good hole recognition and a good agility score. Doubt he'll tote the rock a lot, but I will use him in passing situations and that's why we drafted him.

Third option at TE, we needed to get a youth movement at the position. He has really good bars
in every area and a decent 40 time. Maxed out third down catching is an eye catcher and coupled with route running, getting downfield, avoiding drops, and big play receiving, I think he'll be a nice pass catching tight end. A nice signing for us.

him become a surprise addition, but really wanted him for his blitz pickup, avoid drops, route running, and third down catching ability out of the backfield. His forty yard dash time is good, and I like the addition to special teams. Endurance bar isn't great, but he's drafted as a backup.

Depth at wide receiver is never a bad idea, and two things jumped out at me when I looked at this guy:
his avoid drops and his route running. Okay, three things. .. third down catching. Well, four hings... his courage. Special Teams bar is nice too and his 40 yard dash speed is solid. His adjust to ball bars could be a lot better, but with QB Garrison being maxed at Accuracy and very solid in timing, the adjust to ball bar isn't a big concern.

Needed to get some help for the nickle and dime packages, and this guy's bars and 40 yard dash times
indicate a dude that could help in that situation. I like his interception ratings, who wouldn't, but
his run d, man to man d, zone d, and play diagnosis coupled with endurance indicates to me a guy who
could be slow creeper, but a solid situational player. Special teams bar is decent enough to help.
As it is with every season, training camp will be important for the young Outlaws. Eight mentors should help with the process of improving..but by how much, I don't know.
