Memphis Times
The mood in the Memphis Express conference room was tense for the first press conference after the draft. New team owner Frank Walker was in attendance for the first time at an official team event.
Questions streamed when the team opened up questions for new owner Frank Walker. He made several statements of note as he answered questions. "Well the two problems the team has currently is that we have had little success on the football field and we are lacking fan support. We are evaluating how connected those two are as well as reaching out to our current fan base to try and strengthen it." When asked about rumors of him wanting to move the team to his home state of Ohio he said "Given the current state of the franchise both on the field and financially anything is possible. Right now I want to focus on what was a good draft and on the 2024 season for the Express."
