| Post subject: | Preseason Injury Wat |
It's that time of year again! Every pre-season game, there's a chance one of your stars, or projected starters, goes down with a long term injury. This chronicle will recap the major injuries every preseason week, major meaning either a long one or an injury to an important player. Unlucky loser this week is Seattle, who loses franchise QB Charles Dever. For the article, check this link out : http://gaillardpatrick.free.fr/FOF_Leag ... juries.htm |

Nice write up. I'm thankful that my first round pick made it through the first game. I still have 9 weeks before last years second overall pick is ready to see the field. |

Damn, losing Roper really hurts. Hopefully someone will step up in his absence... |

I had to blow all of my available cap space this offseason on yet another LT because I fear Orumieh may never play. |

Thanks guys. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know I enjoy writing it, it really helps me to get to know other teams and their players. And for me, that's really what multi-player FOF is all about... |

Great Write-up FFF, keep it up! I'm still with Bucc on this... why was that QB in the lineup?! |

[quote7027d1b="wademoore"]Great Write-up FFF, keep it up! I'm still with Bucc on this... why was that QB in the lineup?![/quote7027d1b] If you're going for realism, Dever hasn't exactly set the world on fire in the last two seasons (QB ratings of 62.8 and 53.0, over twice as many interceptions as touchdowns). 'Game ratings' don't mean anything if he can't produce. At some point, you stop listening to your scouts and go by what's been out there on the field, don't you? Plus, take a look at what the offense had when he went down to injury midway through the second quarter. The offense had produced a sum total of one first down. Their first two possessions were three and outs. If I were coaching that game, I would have left him in there too. Show me what you've got until halftime. Anyway, it doesn't bother me. Injuries are a part of football. |

Just to let you guys know I'm working on the update after week 3. One question though: would you rather have the injuries sorted by date, or by team? I just can't make up my mind right now... |

Date, then Team. |

I agree date and then team. Much easier to get a quick idea of what is going on around the league. Besides the game makes it very easy to see what the injuries are on each team, but not which are new. |

Ronnie Tu is sitting out the rest of preseason. He isn't hurt, but I'd like to keep it that way |

I don't know if this is frowned upon, but I'm basically rendering inactive anyone on my team who's going to be an important person (starting QB, starting RB, starting FL, starting LDE, etc...). My view is that I really don't want to risk any injuries. Also, everyone I'm benching is already a multi-year veteran, so they know the "system" anyway. This isn't wholly without precedent (see Michael Vick this year). However, if the league feels it's unrealistic and I shouldn't do it, I'll change what I'm doing for the last two preseason games. |

flere: No that's OK - I'm doing that too and it's good to get some playing time for rookies and other players with lots of green bars. |

Dwayne Bridges is starting in the preseason for me, while Don Martinez is inactive. This might say something about who's starting this year... |

OK, here goes nothing. I have finally managed to finish my update after week 3. It took much longer than I expected, and I will probably not go in as much detail the following updates. Most injuries that took place during preseason week 3 are on there. I've also added a couple of much older ones involving some major CFL players. These, as well as a few updated comments from week 2, are highlighted in blue in the table. Of note, Boston and Chicago are the luckiest teams, with no single injury so far. The injury bug hits New Orleans this week, losing 5 players to various injuries. New Orleans is also the only team to have a major injury, ie season ending or worse, this week. OLB Yuan, is out for most, if not all, of the season. But without any further ado, here's the link: http://gaillardpatrick.free.fr/FOF_Leag ... 05_ps3.htm [size=90088d8a]ps : does anybody else have the funky lines ? or is it just me ? I'll fix it in later issues... ps2: I went a little silly on some of those comments, I hope you won't mind...[/size0088d8a] |

They give the review a whole lot more personalities and makes them fun to read. I hope you continue and feel free to make fun of any Calibiri you feel like. GM included. No love for Jessie Foster, eh? |
