GG Chicago,
After all those penalties we had, we still won.

We had enough go our way.

GG Grandm,

You stuffed our running attack and we had to kick field goals.

This was a close hard fought match..

meh, and people wonder why long-time MP'ers are souring on the FOF engine. Check out this skipping record dice roll for our not-nealry-as-close-as-the score-indicates game against CLE this week:

2-10-LVS47 (1Q: 00:22) Gerald Becker pass completed to WR Dwight Terrell for 15 yards. Tackled by CB Irving Green. Terrell gained 8 yards after the catch. PENALTY: Las Vegas was called for an Illegal Shift.
3-15-LVS42 (1Q: 00:07) Gerald Becker pass was intended for WR Amos Fiedler and was intercepted by S Mercury Horn at the LVS48. Tackled by Amos Fiedler.

then again...

1-10-CLE42 (3Q: 11:20) Gerald Becker pass completed to WR Dwight Terrell for 19 yards. The receiver went out of bounds. Tackled by OLB Bob Lamont. Terrell gained 8 yards after the catch. PENALTY: Las Vegas was called for Offensive Holding.
1-20-LVS48 (3Q: 11:14) Gerald Becker pass was intended for WR Dwight Terrell and was intercepted by S Marcus Graham at the CLE45. The interception was returned 55 yards for a TOUCHDOWN! Las Vegas 24, Cleveland 13

Completion to Terrell, penalty, pick. Twice in the same game using the same catch-penalty-pick result? Whatever.

And if that wasn't enough, there was another Terrell reception called back on a penalty:

1-10-LVS36 (2Q: 10:58) Gerald Becker pass completed to WR Dwight Terrell for 18 yards. Tackled by S Richie Hammond. Terrell gained 5 yards after the catch. PENALTY: Las Vegas was called for an Illegal Shift.

Is he getting open because of these illegal shifts or is FOF getting stuck on a dice roll result table like it does with injuries far too often? I'll let your inner cynic make the call.

BTW, those 52 yards of called back production would have put Dwight Terrell over 220 yard son the day. Who says the oldman can't still play with the kids?

OUCH; blown out again

Well played Albany; Thats like your 6th win in a row isn't it? Looks like you might be one of the hot teams right now.

I thought after the prior game that we might have some continuing success this week but guess not to be. I wanted to go conservative on the passing game and I way over did it ( 11 completions for only 49 yds or something like that) there is always next week though, and I will be coming up with a totally new and different approach for this one!

#6, yeah, and the hot streak is as much a surprise to me as anyone. I stopped two games ago and stared for a moment at the standings screen, asking myself 'How the hell am I leading the division?'.

Good game, though. I was expecting Thomason to tear me up - Kirchoff's a very young QB against two damn good CBs, so the passing I figured was handled (not THAT handled, but still!). We'll see what you're packing with that new approach next time.

GG Tucson,

We played well as Hall might be one of the better old timer Qbs i have ever had in his 16th year.

This keeps us in the playoffs mix so we will keep the rookies on the pine for another week or so.
