Game Report: St. Louis 3, Atlantic City 17 Week 3 PLAYER OF THE GAME DE Mike Hipp Hipp continues to impress with 2 sacks and an additional 3 QB hurries. He is now tied for the league lead in sacks with 4. MISSING IN ACTION Second Half Offense The Phantoms jumped to a 17-0 halftime lead but could muster very little offense in the second half. Six drives and six punts were all they could do. Five of the drives were three and out. If ACI wants to succeed against the top tier teams, they will need to control the ball in the second half. TURNING POINT ACI ended the second and third Torpedo drives with interceptions. St. Louis QB Harvey Hillson knew he was in for a long day. If YOU MISSED IT • Center turned guard Roosevelt Shephard hyperextended his knee and is out for three weeks. Luckily, ACI has a bye this week. Veteran Donnie Crumley will step into the starting spot. • FB Mario Genovese may have lost his short yardage role after he was 2 for 4 on third down conversions this week. For the year, he is 4 for 9. RB Grant Fontenot looks like the logical replacement. BY THE NUMBERS 102.8 - ACI QB Tyrone Dillon’s QB rating. Has he learned his role – take what the defense gives you and don’t hurt the team with interceptions? 0 - Better yet, interceptions thrown by Dillon. 36 - Rushing yards allowed by ACI UP NEXT Bye |
