Game Report: Seattle 7, Atlantic City 33
Exhibition Week 3

PLAYER OF THE GAME – RB Harvey Engelke

The controversy over the drafting of Engelke has been beaten to death in the media and Engelke continues to give the middle finger to all his critics. After a 98 yard performance in the opening exhibition game, Engelke had 19 carries for 120 yards in the second exhibition game. The play below illustrates the explosiveness that Engelke brings to the ACI running game:

2-7-ACI42 (4Q: 02:49) Harvey Engelke ran around left end for 58 yards and a TOUCHDOWN! Key block delivered by Gabe Burdick. Atlantic City 32, Seattle 7

MISSING IN ACTION – TE Harold Rasmussen

Rasmussen was one of the big free agent signings for ACI this offseason but so far he has not been very productive (0 catches this week with 1 drop). In his defense, this is the exhibition season and the young guys are getting the majority of the playing time. Look for Rasmussen to get the start in exhibition week 4.

WHAT IF . . .

It is the exhibition season. Who cares what might have happened!

IF YOU MISSED IT

• Second year DE Mike Hipp recorded 2 sacks and 3 hurries and appears ready for a big season.

• OLB Edwin Stoner was in street clothes on the sideline as his exhibition season appears to be over after one game. No reason to risk an injury to your star player.

• For the second straight game, the quarterback play was exceptional. Rico Firth got his second start and may have locked down the #1 QB spot as he was 9/11 for 114 yards and a 109.8 rating. Claude Ripple also had an excellent game as he went 17/23 for 85 yards with 1 TD and a 93.5 rating.

BY THE NUMBERS

5 - ACI sacks

79 - Rushing yards allowed

178 - Rushing yards gained

37:35 – ACI time of possession (goal is 35:00+)

These are great Rick... Also, I think exhibition games are a great way to put in different lineups and test gameplans..
