Ouch, that hurt! Outstanding game by San Antonio who blew me away, 34-10, congratz! I expected to be attacked thru the air, but the opening drive by SA was crazy! They come out with all guns firing and a 62 yds bomb for a TD! They would continue in that vein and gain about 130 yds in the air, just in the 1st quarter and take a 17-0 lead. Then all of a sudden, they go all conservative and that gives the Vampires some room to come back. And they do, Matthias hooking up with Manos on some key passes and Detroit comes back 17-10. Then an interception in the end zone sets up a last drive by Detroit, which culmintates in a last second field goal. To the displeasure of the home crowd however, the 37 yd kick sails wide to the right. And that was the ball game. The missed kick took all the wind out of the Vampires and after the half, it was the Brumley show. The San Antonio running back buried Detroit single-handedly in the 2nd half. He finishes the game with 162 yds rushing on 29 carries,74 yds receiving for 236 total yards ! Throw in 1 TD as well. He receives an undisputed PotG award. He is also my candidate for the PotW. |

dola - just like the real life Detroit Lions, the Vampires are a much better team on the road. We are now 3-0 on the road and 0-2 at home in our stadium, The Coffin. |

Beat Tulsa to go 5-0. Unbelievable... Of course, the hard part of the schedule is coming up now. At least the Rockets have already tied our record for most wins in a season... What the heck is going on with Butch Fulton? Last season's ROY is having a down year... |

[quoted663686="JeeberD"] What the heck is going on with Butch Fulton? Last season's ROY is having a down year...[/quoted663686] i didn't get him the ball enough in our first few games, now he is getting more carries and will hopefully get his YPC up a little, I think having such a worse offense is really hurting him. My team hardly gets near the red zone, so he doesn't have a lot of chances to score. |

Are you available on Monday night? |

Jeeber, what time would you be available for a live sim on Monday night? 11pm Central? I could make it at that time - my sleeping schedule always varies anyway. Fonzie, what time on Monday night works for you? |

Yeah, 1030 or 1100 would be fine with me as long as some other folks are able to make it. I don't want to have it so late that no one else would be able to come... |

I'll be available after 10-10:15ish on Monday. But, like JeeberD said, I'd happily surrender the possibility of an El Paso-Tucson game if earlier time would work better for more people. |
