If I wanna sign someone and not have the computer release a bunch of players I should be okay to leave 45 players active so that when the player is signed he will be active and then everything should be good. Correct?

Yes assuming you also don't have more than 60 players on your roster.

Okay. Thanks. Then we should be good to go. I did release a few in hopes that the cpu doesn't wanna overhaul the whole roster.
