I'm glad WRs Rufus Samuels and Dwayne Cabbage decided to return for their 12th year.

And woohoo, David Browning won Offensive Rookie of the Year! Not bad for a late 4th round pick. Bring on the draft!

Tarzan grabs Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and 1st RB honors after his incredible season in which he finished with the 4th highest point total in the league. The only other non-kicker I saw on the list was WR Frank Pritchett whose 2026 season came in at around 85th highest all time.

Also, no one is outbidding me for coaches or free agents as Hartford took in over half a billion in profits last season.

Brawler's Highlights
First Team LT went to Franz.

Lost three players to retirement as I expected. I thought we might lose more.

1. WR- Shawn "Little Red" Nevett'
--He had been on the team since I took over. One of the last of the Old Guard (along with DE Jacox). We are going to miss our leader and rock at the receiving core.

2. WR- Clarence Rice
--Picked him up in free agency after his fourth year in the league and he put in 7 good years for the Brawlers. I remember thinking that $5 million was too much for him. He was worth it!

3. OLB- Evertt "Silverback" Smithwick
--One of my favorite players ever!! I'm going to miss him. Proud that he retired a Brawler! He was a journey-man player before he found his home in Brooklyn. In 8 seasons for the Brawlers he recorded 52 sacks, 25 blocked passes, 111 hurries and 74 QB knockdowns. He retired #1 in sacks for Brooklyn. Did I mention that he never saw the north side of a 40 overall rating with the Brawlers?
