Spoiler Alert

I'm psyched to get a win against Hartford, but realize getting a win against Rico Fitzpatrick isn't the same as getting a win against Stephen Gietka. Leland Wellins did get his 100th career sack during the game on Rico. It was a fantastic game for the 61,200 who showed up in Shreveport. We'd score only to have Hartford match us. Then Hartford took a 4 point lead in the 4th quarter and the game came down to a pivotal offensive play for Shreveport:

4-5-SHR36 (4Q: 01:37) Marco Bennett pass completed to RB Harvey Deaton for 10 yards. Tackled by CB Rickey Johnston. Deaton gained 2 yards after the catch.

Shreveport went on to score a TD (Bennett to Wooden) with 40 seconds left in the game and that was all she wrote.

GG Masked - I'm sure that if this were a playoff game, Gietka would have played. Perhaps we'll have that opportunity in the offseason. Even without Gietka, Hartford is an awesome team.

Tennessee can't take have 1st place in the Deep South just yet. I think you'll have to earn it in week 15 if you want it. Not sure what's happening in San Antonia, I thought they were putting a run together with their awesome young QB and WR's, but they dropped a game to New Orleans this week which is appreciated by both TEN and SHR.

Darn you Masked.....Gietka is tougher than that......

Oh by the way GG Rick....Your guys ran into a motivated Militia team that thought they would be in first place today with a win......

*Hands cushion to RH*

See you week 15......

Solid win for us with two starters out. The Torpedoes put up a good fight, and it was a good game.

Next up: Ohio and then a bye week. Let's keep that winning streak going!

Sorry Aamalin - knee injury with a moderate chance of reinjury means Gietka sits.

GG Raven Hawk - hopefully, we'll get another shot at you in the playoffs.

GG joab101,

My defense was playing great and meyer is starting to get back to form with his 4 straight 100 game. Your team is raw man but your rookie safety is a stud..

I just looked at our remaining schedules and we're both running a gauntlet to the end of the year. Who know what the heck will happen. You've got 5/8 hard games, we've got 6/8 hard games. I know that I shouldn't really consider San Antonia a hard game, but they have talent even if they haven't brought it all together yet.

And I appreciate the cushion. :D

GG JJ! Stellar defensive effort as our offense was in neutral for the entire game. Defense was OK but was on the field way too long.

Yeah, we got a couple of young studs and King is a beast but he needs some help

GG, thater. Weird game, an early safety, not much offense on either side, constant drops (8!) by your receivers, then suddenly you break one for 80 yards and a TD and make us get some first downs to hold onto the win. I feel lucky that we escaped with a win.

So who's next....OMAHA!

Mixed feelings here...it's always good to get a win (especially at the expense of General Mike), and especially a win in my first game back. However, a win pushes me further down the draft order, and I need some high picks to overhaul this roster. I think the team was just playing extra hard in order to welcome me back. After all, 7 sacks from a defense that had only 14 total for the season before this game?!? Boise was very generous as well, of course, fumbling the ball away twice during overtime. Thanks, Mike!

GG Cotton,
It could have gone either way. My G received game MVP, that tells you what type of game it was.

I tried a few new guys with the bye week coming up and the "LT's hookers-and coke/Flu" incident that happened. RB Norm looked good and QB TD was ok. Aside from an early TD run RB Murray was sub par.

Good to have a bye week this week.

I told you that flu thing is almost a good luck charm.

Here's the deal: I have no quarterback, my tight ends and tailback have a better YPT than three of my four wideouts which tells you what hacks they are, and have the worst, rock-bottom pass blocking and pass rush in the league.... so... therefore... you can't fumble the ball at your opponents two yard line!!! That was the game changer and it was my best player that committed it.

Oh well, my young linebackers and secondary continue to improve every week which bodes well for next season. Which can't come soon enough...

I will turn this squad around.

GG, Dean. Fun game, even though the Bees lost. :)
