Extraordinarily productive in 2036, Hartley piled up a whopping 1,929 yards rushing and 23 touchdowns. He does it by exploding upfield when he gets a seam, and running through arm tackles with good pad level and strong leg drive and determination. His quickness, acceleration and top end speed are all special. As a running back, he hits the hole quickly with his initial burst, and if any crack is there, look out. Even though most of his runs are designed to the perimeter to take advantage of his big play ability, he does run the ball inside, and Hartley has shown the ability to plug it in between the tackles. He's tough, can take a hit, and will lower his shoulder. He will not be confused with a power runner, but he can run it inside.

Not yet a polished receiver but Hartley looks like an early-impact CFL running back because of the way he reads plays, and puts his foot in the ground to get vertical and maximize yards when they're available. His 6.4 yards per carry last season is impressive given he does a good job of taking what the blocking offers, but he also has an extra gear in the open field and can run away from defenders.

2.6 J.B. Applegate, T, Oregon. 6-4, 297 lbs.

Experienced and versatile lineman: started over 30 games at several O-line positions. Applegate possesses light feet, long arms, and natural overall weight distribution. Flashes great quickness and balance when dropping back into pass protection. Naturally strong, heavy hands to latch on and control opponents. Flashes a physical pop to rock defenders on their heels. Good balance. Natural knee bender who can sink to absorb contact.

Frequently late recognizing stunts and blitzes and reacts poorly, simply whiffing on occasion. Struggles with leverage, especially in short yardage situations and can get knocked backwards...

Excellent all-round fullback, schooled in a Pro-style offense.
Immediate upgrade of the position and another part of rebuilding the Sentries rushing attack.

4.6 Tito "Russell" Wilson, QB, Louisiana State. 6-1, 202 lbs.

Combine scores:
Sol.: 28
40 time: 4.95
Bench: 8
Agility: 7.31
Broad Jump: 8'4''
Position Drill: 91
Pre TC: 4/42 - Post TC:

Wilson is this year's big-time question mark at quarterback: one group of scouts sees a determined and hard-working signal-caller with off-the-charts intangibles and a proven winner at every level. The other group sees a under-sized and overachieving player who clearly is a by-product of an offensive juggernaut! Will join an already crowded QB battle but will need a year on the training squad and a spring in Europe before really making a push up the depth chart.
Quote:
Wilson is an accurate passer. He is a very mechanical quarterback who is consistent in his drop step and thoroughly understands how to move within the pocket and evade when the pocket collapses. He is a born signal caller with an high football IQ and who shows command of the offense. He has timing and touch to make the deep throws and put it on a receiver in stride. He is effective when scrambling and is a classic play extender.

You draft him to be a back-up!

I like the reporting! The headshots up top and the action shots to close the deal is a nice touch!

4.19 Leland Albriktsen, C, Kentucky. 6-2, 262 lbs.

Combine scores:
Sol.: 37
40 time: 5.18
Bench: 33
Agility: 7.85
Broad Jump: 8'1''
Pre TC: 19/39 - Post TC:

When you talk about Kentucky Wildcat centres you think about the NCAA Final Four and NBA lottery picks. Not this time! Albriktsen anchored the Wildcats offensive line the past 3 season. Smart and active ringleader of the O-line. Undersized, needs to add at least 20 lbs. of muscle to keep CFL's behemoth DT's out of Ohio's backfield.

5.6 Eric Kowal, G, Northwestern. 6-3, 320 lbs.

Combine scores:

40 time: 5.15
Bench: 36
Agility: 7.80
Broad Jump: 6'9''
Pre TC: 23/44 - Post TC:

Classic midwestern runblocker: tough, strong guard who loves to clear defenders around the point of attack. Troubled by mental lapses and clumsy footwork, has trouble locking onto moving targets on the second level.

6.6 Christian Daehnke, CB, North Texas. 5-10, 184 lbs.

Combine scores:
Sol.: 12
40 time: 4.47
Bench: 12
Agility: 7.14
Broad Jump: 8'6''
Position score: 12
Pre TC: 38/51 - Post TC:

Buried on the North Texas depth chart as a slot receiver / special teamer until halfway his junior season. Moved to a injury-riddled defense, wrestled away a starting job and never looked back. Excellent quickness and jumping ability, fluid hips and a quick change in direction to stick with receivers. Gambles too much on routes and sometimes loses his man eyeing the QB. Played only 13 games at the highest level, raw with a nice upside.

7.6 Fernando Hartley, WR, Virginia Tech. 5-9, 188 lbs.

Gifted athlete but (very) far from being a productive receiver in the CFL. Excellent quickness and speed. Has trouble beating press coverage and has a history of small nagging injuries. Might make the practice squad.
