Spoilers below.................. Big win to start the season at Omaha! Good game, Josh, as usual it was close and came down to just a few plays. RB David Browning broke away for a 69-yard TD run near the end of the first half while we managed to hold the Meyer/Adamo tandem to 73 combined rushing yards (although Adamo's 56-yard gain on a screen pass hurt). Nice performance by rookie TE Dusty Hawkins with 2 TD catches, but my rookie punter had 3 punts from the 41 and all went into the endzone for touchbacks. Close game: 1 turnover each...17 first downs each...4 scores each - we got TDs and held Omaha to FGs, that was the difference. Looking forward to the rematch in week 8! |

Glad to get the win against Atlanta. I don't really know what to do yet with this team since I just came on board, but at least I have one win for the year. GG, Atlanta. |

Great Game Taco, I thought we had a chance until the INT. After that I knew it was over and Meyer/Adamo will need to improve..GG JJ |

Hmmm . . . me likey how the season started. Here's our first play from scrimmage for the season, on the road, against Tennessee: 1-10-SHR20 (1Q: 15:00) Marco Bennett pass completed to WR Deep Wooden for 69 yards. Tackled by S Glen Ward. The receiver ran his route right over the middle of the field. Wooden gained 42 yards after the catch. Deep Wooden would have loved to get it into the end zone, but I guess the wheels just aren't what they used to be. Also had Cornelius Lynch pull off Defensive Player of the Week with an 8 tackle, 2 sack, 3 passes defensed effort. Winning is good, but it's even more special against a division rival like Tennessee. Good game, aamalin! See you week 10 in Shreveport. (Doesn't hurt to see Gary Farr start his season with another loss, too!) |

The coaches in Tennessee are still wondering wha, wha, what the hell was that?? It's not like they have never seen "Deep Wooden" play before..... Yikes... Too many sacks and turnovers. And..... My highly touted punter had some stage fright and laid a big old smelly egg in his debut...Still not bothering to sign my second round busto pick.....what a disappointing start. Perhaps my prediction was backwards.... Maybe it's Shreveport for the division by one game over San Antonia... GG RH..... In good news... Bart Godfrey is 800 +\- away from the all-time rushing record. |

GG Barnrat. The Cowher/Negron era starts a little rough. Your boys shut my running game down cold.Good luck the rest of the year! |

Great result in the first game running the Baltimore Bombers! A very solid 44-20 win over St. Louis as QB Blackwell throws 3 TD's (and a pick 6). Defense did an OK job but I would like to see some hurries turned into sacks. GG St. Louis! Got a couple of great offers for SE Lyle, really need to think them over but it's pretty certain he'll be wearing a new uniform in a few weeks. |
