Week 5 Picks by Jimmy the Geek
Game of the Week
#5 Las Vegas @ #11 Arizona
In the highest rated matchup of the week, the Rounders face off against the Outlaws in sunny Arizona. Las Vegas, 3-1 with their only loss coming against Tucson, has been winning based on their turnover margin which is #1 in the league. Their offense is #27 on the ground and 24th in the air. Arizona is also 3-1 with their only loss a tough one 27-24 to Iowa City. With the #32 passing offense, Arizona will need to get the ground game going if they have any hope. J.T. Stargell has been averaging 5.5 yards per carry and should have a big game against the Rounder defense. We will take Arizona in an upset.
The Best Chance for a First Win Game of the Week
#20 Oregon @ #29 Honolulu
Oregon is 0-4 with their first four opponents a combined 12-3. Honolulu is 1-3 with opponents who are 10-6 so they have had some tough competition as well. The Ice has not been able to shut down the passing games of their opponents and the Blue Pacific has the #11 pass offense. This would seem to indicate another loss for Oregon but we feel that Oregon will be able to score some points against the #29th ranked Honolulu scoring defense in a wild game. How exactly? We have no idea but take Oregon in their first win.

Last Week: 11-3
Best Pick: Hartford over Iowa City (we said Iowa City needed to control the clock with their running game if they had a chance but would not be able to do so – 47 rushing yards and -9+ minutes in time of possession show this was correct).
Worst Pick: San Antonio over Durham (Durham piled up 189 rushing yards in a 30-6 win)
Overall: 32-14
