These are my top concerns; 1. Inputting all of the draft by hand, even if the draft app works the draft recorder doesn't. That will be very time consuming. 2. The Coaches draft.. 3. The CFL drama about upgrading, if we do or we don't there will be some. These are really my only concerns. If we can put these to rest, I dont see why we couldn't upgrade. Thanks JJ |

I haven't checked, but I thought this was now built into the game? Or am I imagining that?

I don't know if this speaks to #1, but this is from the Solecismic site: •Amateur/Staff Draft Imports. Using the data from the exported .csv files, commissioners will be able to hold drafts off-line, and easily create a file that contains all the draft data. This data can then be imported directly into the game, saving the commissioner hours of making each selection by hand. The entire page is here: http://www.solecismic.com/fof/index.php |

That is for the utility you use for the draft, otherwise you would be editing a fugly .csv file by hand. Right now the fan-made draft utility is having issues with both the staff draft and the player draft.

We're doing a player draft right now in the CCFL with the Wheels conscriptor. It's missing a few features, e.g., some player info, but it has been working OK. |

Doesn't look good for the draft app or coach draft app. They are having a problem with disappearing players and some other bugs. |

Can't we just use the same draft app that we have been using? Doesn't it just take a .csv file that used to be created from Extractor, but now is from rookies.csv? It won't have the bars anymore, but it's usable, right? If we are going to wait a season then I think let's get on with it. But I still think it's worth it to upgrade now - but it's not my call at the moment. In about 3 weeks I should have a normal schedule and a little more time to spend on this. |
