Well.. now that we unfortunately seem to be in the running...

Anyone know how the tie-breakers work for the top seed?

Thanks flere...Denver going down helps us out a bunch... :)

Geez, what a defensive struggle El Paso won. Glad to see that my defense is finally showing up again, but I really wish that we could put some more points up on the board...

I don't understand it. We perform [b8c06c90]much[/b8c06c90] better under backup QB Soriano, who, according to my scout, who is VG with QBs, is significantly worse than starting QB McMillan, who has been injured.

Back to McMillan this week, though. Let's see what happens.

Anyway, how's this for a game-killing final drive:

With 10:44 left in the 4th quarter, Boston marches 76 yards from its own 20, in 19 plays, until the clock runs out.

:D

How the hell do I dominate a game and still tie?

508 total yards to Long Beach's 253.

Oh, that's right I turn the freakin ball over all the time.

Oh, yeah. AND I missed 2 field goals in OT from 40 and 48 yards. Dumkoff!

Damn! A very close 1st half and then the Vampires completely disappeared in the 2nd half. No offense whatsoever, and the defense just couldn't stop the Toros anymore...

Somehow, I feel as if I could have stolen a win with that game...

In other games, WOW! what an upset by the Hitmen!!!

Things are looking good for a Rockets playoff shot. Our remaining games are:

vs Seattle (2-9)
at Atlantic City (3-8 )
vs Tulsa (3-8 )
at Hartford (8-3)
at Denver (6-5)

We have a very good shot at winning the next three games, then we'll have a very tough game against Hartford.

Denver's remaining gams are:

at Sacto (7-4)
vs Hartford (8-3)
at Fargo (4-7)
vs Atlantic City (3-8 )
vs El Paso (7-4)

The division could very likely wind up being decided in the final game of the regular season when the Rockets visit Denver. What drama!

Of course, I shouldn't count my chickens yet...

Atlantic City still sucks. :(

Will Joel Razo throw a second TD pass this year? Will he break the record for INTs in a season? Will Seth Keller break his own sack record?

Unfortunately for me, I've resigned a lot of my guys to multiyear contracts. So...we have two scenarios possible:

1) Our 2-9 nucleus will be here for many years to come and will bring losing to an entirely new level.

Or,

2) That 2-9 nucleus will remember the bitter pill of losing and bring a vengeance and pox upon the rest of the league.

Ah, who am I kidding...

If it's any comfort, the Detroit Vampires were 1-15 in their first season and then went on to a 10-6 season. So there's hope for you still...

And I've got basically the same core that went 3-13 and 5-11 my first two seasons. Maturation apparently plays a pretty big role...

Yes- you cold do like FFF, or even like Jeeber and turn it around. Or you could do like me... 3-13 (3 wins were the last 3 of the season), 5-11, and now 3-8. I guess my team needs to mature a lot =(

We've had two bad defeats this season but last week was all on George Pitts who is on a very short lease at present. Still think if he can not throw any picks we match up well with 90% of the teams in the league.
Though to have had as few injuries as we have and be 6-5 probably means we are under performing right now.

I benched Pitts after 10 games last year when he was underperforming. You have already had more patience with him than I did. He appears to be over the hill at age 38.

I have to agree with you. When I do my rankings each week and look at your team and its stats, I am always surprised that you're not doing any better... You could be 8-3 and it'd seem much more logical to me than your current 6-5...
