Boston rode a run-heavy gameplan to a 17-3 victory over Denver this week. Averaging 3.9 yards per carry on 48 attempts, [b0e241d0]RB William Sheehan[/b0e241d0], backfield captain [b0e241d0]Jason Robinson[/b0e241d0] and [b0e241d0]FB Otis Austin[/b0e241d0] ate up the clock when necessary. Backup [b0e241d0]QB Curtis Soriano[/b0e241d0] also had a good game, going 9/13 with 1 TD, which was just enough production to keep Denver honest. The Offense truly shined in the 2nd half, with two separate drives of over [b0e241d0]10 minutes[/b0e241d0] a piece, serving to run out the clock and protect the lead. The Panthers' defense also had a good day. Key to their success in stifling Denver's attack were 3 first-half interceptions, one made at the Boston 13, one at the Boston 37, and one, returned for a touchdown, made at the Boston 40. Starting [b0e241d0]QB Charles McMillan[/b0e241d0] and a host of other starters return from injury next week to face Memphis.
