Another week of rankings brought to you by FFF.

And it will not come as a surprise to our faithful readers that we have a new #1! Honolulu was shocked by Chicago last week and their old nemesis, Tucson, takes this opportunity to reclaim the spot they 've already held 4 times this season.

Up of the week: Sacramento, up 5 spots to #16 after defeating the Memphis Express.

Down of the week: New York, down 6 spots. The Knights fall out of the Top 10 after losing a defensive battle in El Paso.

An interesting note, Chicago, despite its upset win against then #1 Honolulu, still drops a spot in the rankings. They suffer from the fact that all teams ranked in front won as well.

dola- I think I will tweak the formula somewhat for next season. As the season moves on, I feel that the record is taking too much importance over the other factors. If you look closely, almost everybody is ranked just according to their W-L record. The only notable exception is Atlantic City, with their 8 game losing streak. My Vampires are a perfect example of a team who's record is much better than the team really is. I feel teams like Baltimore, Sacramento or even Oregon should be in front of Detroit.

Right now, wins and losses are worth 10 and -10 points respectively and that is probably too much. I'll probably bring it down to 5 points each.

With this scoring system, the top 6 wouldn't change but Baltimore would indeed be in front of Detroit, for example.

I also still want to include some sort of strength of schedule in there, right now there is nothing at all to reflect it.

Anyway, I'll think about all this during the next offseason. Suggestions are, as always, more than welcome!

I'd recommend any system that keeps Tucson ranked #1! :D

Can't really argue with the #8 ranking. We're frustratingly inconsistent. :(
