I grew up in Rogers, Arkansas (home of the first Wal-Mart ever! :) ). I'm now living in San Jose, California, home of San Jose State University -- with alum like Bill Walsh, Marty Schottenheimer, and Jeff Garcia.

I live in Glenview, Illinois, which is a suburb of Chicago.

As such, I support the Bears, although since I grew up in Maine, I support the Patriots more. :)

I'm not a big fan of basketball or hockey, so don't really support the Bulls or the Blackhawks. I'm not a big fan of baseball, either, but I'll catch a few games at Wrigley each year since it's such a fun afternoon/evening out. This year I even got invited to one of those rooftop parties you can see on the TV.

I lived in England for 5 years, attending grad school at Oxford. As such, I try to follow Oxford United's progress (oh dear), but don't really support a particular Premiership side, per se. My wife & I were just over there, this past week, though, and managed to take in the Spurs-Villa contest last Monday, which was fun, although the game was a bit crap.

[quote2493576="varacel"]The only thing really missing is a good pre-game/post-game show.[/quote2493576]

We're missing that in the US, too. ;)

Oh, and I'm in Springfield, Illinois. I recently moved here from Tucson (the home of my Toros) to take a job.

What's with all of you Illinois people?

Well . . . I'm from there, too. Currently in a town called Island Lake. It's a fringe suburb of Chicago way to the Northwest. I call it a fringe suburb because its on the edge of the suburban development. We'll be a full fledged suburb in the next 5-10 years.

I'm a huge Bears fan. I used to like basketball, when the game was good and players respected the game. I used to like baseball, when I played little league. I like hockey and I'm a Blackhawks fan, but Wurtz(owner) is such a jagoff, it can be very trying sometimes.

I started college in Illinois (UIUC) and finished in Wisconsin (UWEC), ate some cheese, put up with cheeseheads during a Packer's championship season, was made fun of by my Illinois friends as I was beginning to develop a Northern Wisconsin accent. I quickly came to my senses, graduated college and returned to the Chicago area. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

Somerset, NJ. Right outside of New Brunswick, about 40 miles SW of NYC, 60 miles NE of Philadelphia. The only notable professional player who comes from Somerset was former NBA player Roy Hinson.
