Of course, I am just the intern commish, but I think we should probably vote on this. The CFL Bowl is scheduled for December 21st. I think we should probably move the offseason back until at least after Xmas. Would everyone be in favor of this?

I figured that was implied since there is nothing scheduled after the Bowl.

As for me, I'll be home, so whatever.

Ditto. I'll be around, but it would probably make the most sense to wait.

Well, is there much to do after the bowl is done? I'd at least like a new file. Too bad we didn't have a few days to mull over FA and the draft over the break. *sigh*

I will be at home and have plenty of free time during the holidays. So I'd actually be in favor of moving forward.

I am however probably in the minority in that case and understand fully if other owners want to take a break.

While it would be nice to look over the FA & draft list over the break, that would mean not only finishing the CFL Bowl before XMas, but also staff hiring, which may be quite different this year, due to the changes in 5.1.

I vote for waiting.

What needs to happen between the bowl and releasing the draft preview? If we had that, it would be awesome.. if not, that's life...

No preference, I'll go with what the majority decides.

I'll change my tune a bit - it would be really, really nice to have the draft preview list/FA list so we could do some research during the down time.

That's the staff hiring phase - ticket prices and stadium deals in the first week also. It could be done in 3-4 days if everyone's on the same page.

I'll go with whatever the majority decides. It would be nice to get the end of the season file up and all before christmas so we can look at possible FAs and coaching staffs and all.

I'd like to get past the stadium proposals and coach hiring so we can see potential free agents and the amateur draftees.

i would propose we go hard at it to get our minor stuff done to open up FA and draft file then shut it down until after new years. Im home and able to participate throughout but would be willing to break if people need downtime for holiday events.

The only problem I have with getting through to FA before XMas (which is otherwise a great idea), is that I'll be off-line from 12/21 through 12/26. Only my DC is up for renewal, but he's merely average, so I probably won't mind what the computer gives me. My scout, on the other hand, is ancient, and under contract.

It isn't a big deal, though, and I'd rather do what is best for the league. However, if we go ahead with this, don't be surprised if I'm unable to submit exports during that time period.
