An invalid contact was brought to my attention, it's about Burt Shoen WR. Denver signed him with a 2yr contact but he needed atleast a 3 year.

What would the owners of the other teams that offered him like me to do?

The rule is to cut him and have Denver eat the bonus but this is a causal league, what would you guys like me to do?

Apparently everyone else followed the rule but we're going to reward someone who didn't? Why the exception? He's not a new owner, right? A rule is a rule. And I'm not sure what the meaning of "casual" is. Does that mean we don't have to follow the rules? If so, then just say so and we'll all ignore the rules.

Having said that, I have always been of the opinion that the 3 year rule in this league is silly. If you want to have a rule, then make it something like only 3 year contracts for all FAs in FA1-12.

Yes, I had a big name free agent cut and I ate significant millions years ago because I did not see the post that asked everyone to not make an offer on a player due to some issue.

I ate enough bonus to fuck up my cap for 2 years on an honest mistake, any rule violation easily has the penalty applied - nothing personal. First year owner or otherwise, it gets applied.

It's not like we are taking away draft picks on top of it.
