Let me know when it's time to let loose in the draft thread.

BTW, you're no fun at drafts anymore.

I have a taste for some Wademoore circa 2007. That was a good draft discussion year I think.

It's a combo of things really. As I stated early in the draft thread, this is about the worst time possible for me at work for the draft to happen. We have what is essentially a team of government people coming in to tell us we don't know how to do our jobs for this week and next. That and the application my Help Desk supports has been going down this week.

Anyway. that combined with me making a commitment some time ago that I wouldn't go crazy about the draft anymore and accept the league for what it is (begrudgingly)...

That being said - this is pretty pathetic this year.

Well, it sounds like you are accomplishing things at the least.

Your outlook makes me feel a little better, if not nostalgic anyways.

LOL

The way it's basically gone down in my head..

"Wholy (*#&$% we're only in the 3rd?!"

"Well, that's ok, easier for me to keep up that way"

;)...

I do worry that it's a statement about our league though that it's taken us what.. 3 days for less than 3 rounds? maybe it's 2 days. Idano, either way, it's freakin' slow.

i didn't always agree with you [i'm nowhere near as extreme as you can be] but someone like you are and can be catalyst for changes, typically for the better of the league. i'm not saying you have a "duty" to do anything, just saying that, even though someone [like me] doesn't agree with you, i can still see the value you have added to the league.

thanks. :)

On this specific issue I think I caused a lot of strife and yet no one else was really with me. I'm fine being the catalyst when a lot of others agree with me and just don't want to speak up, but I just don't think that was the case here.

I'll still speak up on other issues, just not the draft speed one. I would if someone else brought it up and wanted to discuss it, but I'm not going to be the one pushing for it.

I was pretty vocal about the speed last year but I've just accepted it and moved on.

Also, the fact that I'm simultaneously drafting in the HFL has kept me so busy that slower is better here. :)

Yeah, I've certainly done my fair share of moaning over the years about holdups and folks not using the utility. But you're right wade, for whatever reason the culture of this league is just different from most MP leagues. Folks here aren't as concerned about draft slowdowns.

And I'm somewhat in the same boat as wade this year as well. I'd probably be more agitated about the slow draft, but work has been kicking my ass so much that a slow draft kind of works for me this year.

You probably had the "Don't pick the same position in consecutive rounds" option turned on, so it skipped the DT that you had 1st in your list. Is this what happened?

I had three drafts going at the same time. Pretty brutal...

BLEH!

It was crazy trying to keep two going. I would have just traded all of my draft picks away in the third league. :)
