I'm thinking at this point it may be best to finish the 4th round as we have, then give owners a couple days to make lists of players they are interested in drafting and then let the commissioner finish the draft using a combination of lists and scouts. Or just scouts if the first method would be too much work for the commissioner. Then we can got on with the season.

Any thoughts?

I am going out of town this weekend, so whatever we decide to do will have to wait till Sunday night.

I vote we let the scouts handle rounds 5-7.

Hold another live draft, if you wish for the computer to finish it, send a list, or show up, so be it.

I'm going to be gone for the weekend as well (the "cities" aka Minneapolis :)

If we happen to move on before Sunday night I would be fine with letting my scout draft rounds 5-7. Otherwise I'll be around for a live draft.

ditto this- I do not have a real strong preference on players I pick later in the draft- its mostly a crap shoot...but there are certain positions I would like to fill. So a live draft with the scout finishing for those who can't show up would be nice, and get my vote.

Same as above - I'm fine with my scout finishing, if need be. We need to get this thing done.

I'll submit a list for rounds 5-7, but only with a position given, i.e:
5th round - best remaining DT, and so on.

Another live draft sometime early next week sounds good to me.

I agree, let the draft lists go through the weekend and then finish up whats left sometime early next week in chat. If owners want to let their scouts handle it or submit a list or draft live its up to them. I like to think that I can pull some late round gems out of a draft, and players such as PR/KR's etc can be found late.

Live draft or scouts picking would be OK with me.

A live draft would be good, but of the upcoming next few days I can only do it on Saturday night or Tuesday nght. I work tonight, Monday night, and Wednesday night, and Sunday night I'm going to my neice's birthday party...

Well hopefully we can try and build it around your schedule.

I could only do it Sunday, Monday or Wednesday night. I work Tuesday and Thursday.

Not one person's schedule should have any bearing as to when GE decides to do it.

I wasn't trying to say that it should be built around my schedule. I was just throwing out there when would be good for me. I certainly know that it's either going to be majority rules or dictator rules (whenever the hell GE wants to do it)... ;)

The draft has stalled - can't we set up a process that after 6 awake hours - we CPU pick and move on.

The ol' Commish is out of town for the weekend. He's actually the person that we've been waiting on. And I suppose it isn't a huge deal if we got those last two picks in earlier since GE is the only one who knows for certain how we're handling the rest of the draft...

GE sent me a list saturday, I did not see it and then was away for a while...that delay was my fault and I appoligize for that one. We are now finished with the 4th round- when I head home I will set up a 5th round draft thread...but GE picks # 2 in the 5th so we will be waiting for him anyway. I would assume we will be finishing the draft early this week in a live chat...I think we can handle 3 rounds in one chat, especially these late rounds.

I can not chat tonight - I can only do it Wed. night. If it rains, I will be able to but I am not sure what the chances of that are.

So what's the weather like? Rain? No rain? More importantly, can we get a final decision on the date/time of the draft chat?
