[b97f7db2][u97f7db2]TAMPA BAY TORPEDOES MEDIA REPORT[/b97f7db2][/u97f7db2]
Tampa Bay, FL (AP): The Tampa Bay Torpedoes traveled to play the Chicago Hitmen and slipped by with a 21-17 win. Torpedoes QB [player]Corwin Ellard[/player] was named MVP as he completed 32 of 43 passes (74.4%) for 286 yards for 3 TD's with an INT. Offensively, the Torpedoes passing game opened up their run game. The Torpedoes allowed 3 sacks and turned the ball over twice. The Torpedoes scored 7 points on 1 trip to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes controlled the clock and set the pace of the game. Defensively, the Torpedoes shutdown the Hitmen run game, but struggled against the pass. The Torpedoes broke loose as they recorded 5 sacks and forced 2 turnovers. The Torpedoes allowed 14 points on 3 trips to the Red Zone. The Torpedoes sit atop the AC ATLANTIC. The Torpedoes (6-2) host the Albany Crows (3-5) next week. Can the Torpedoes win at home or will the Crows find a way to win on the road?

Torpedoes Head Coach, Alvin Peterson had these comments after the game, "We came out and won a hard fought game on the road this week. This was a big win for us and gives us a little cushion for the AC ATLANTIC lead. We are in a position to make it back to the AC Playoffs for the first time since 2015, but there is still a lot of football left to play. We need to remain focused and keep building up our momentum. We will review the game film and find ways to improve. We host the Albany Crows next week and need to find a way to win this game. We need to set the tone early on defense, balance our attack, and protect the football if we want to have a shot at winning this game!"
