The 2028 season is here - chime in with your prognostications!

The traditional questions:

1. Predict your team's record
2. Predict the winner of your division
3. Predict the CFL bowl winner
4,5,6+ Add any other predictions that you have

----------------------
1. 10-6 if we start Robbins, 6-10 if we start Paulk. I probably won't decide until minutes before Week 1 begins. And why not? Everybody loves a quarterback controversy!

2. Honolulu. They'll repeat no matter what we do.

3. Huntington Beach. This remains a quarterback's league, and they've got the best in Bert Foster. They'll win it all as long as Bert's musculoskeletal system remains intact.

4. Even if he starts, Don Robbins will not be pleased that he is in a QB controversy. And I won't blame him.

5. Graham Barrett nears the end of the line, but will be able to add substantially to his Toros' rushing records.

6. My therapist says that I'm ready to move past the whole Elisha Cuthbert fiasco, and I agree. This season I will instead unleash my affections on Scarlett Johansson. ScarJo = Peanut Butter. Fonzie = Chocolate. Yum!

And CFL, you're welcome:

1) 6-10. Should be able to improve on last year, but the team's still not ready for prime time.

2) Cleveland. I'm in no shape to do anything, Chicago only has a few steps up on me and Detroit's AI run. Easy call.

3) Honolulu's year, I think.

[b5614b95]1. 9-7.[/b5614b95] I'm not sure why, but I think we'll improve. A lot of our new additions are pretty green, so I think we'll be really inconsistent, but maybe the passing game will finally show a little something after 2 years of bad times.
[b5614b95]
2. Durham.[/b5614b95] They are good at football.

[b5614b95]3. Huntington Beach.[/b5614b95] I guess that's the easy pick, but you know they'll be in the mix.

4. If he can hang on to the ball, [b5614b95]BAL rookie RB Scottie Lindsay will win the OROY award[/b5614b95]. He's not the highest rated of the rookie RBs, but he's among the fastest, and I'll get him a lot of carries. He did fumble like 5-6 times in the preseason, so he'll probably either win OROY or be publicly executed in downtown Baltimore for felonious fumbling.

5. [b5614b95]Kent Goodwin[/b5614b95] will consider coming out of retirement but [b5614b95]will ultimately settle for texting pictures of his penis to Tucson Toro female employees.[/b5614b95]

[b747946b]1. Predict your team's record[/b747946b]
10-6 we have a very tough schedule this season.

I'm going with Us, it will be close though. Baltimore is an up and coming team..

Honolulu, they are stacked and only getting better.

[b747946b]Other predictions:[/b747946b]

Bart Godfrey OROY, Marvin Loniewski DROY.

Donnell Sherman get his 2nd 1000 yard season for us.

'Bad Ass' Buddy Lake finally live up to his name at linebacker.

Tucson pulls the switch and starts QB Paulk sometime during the season.

#1 Pick Harry Reese throws for at least one 300yd game this year.

OK, now that I've had time to get over drooling over Scarlett...

1) 6-10. Our best players are either rookies or don't fit the system I want to play... they'll make some plays and win a couple of games, but the season will be far from pretty overall.

2) Huntington Beach has been there for quite some time... don't see that changing soon.

3) I'll go with Huntington Beach also. I want someone from our division to win it all ;)

1.1 Harry Reese will not get a ROY award, mostly because he will throw 25 INT this season.

3.1 pick, Winston Dennis, who was converted from CB to SS, will lead our team in tackles with over 110.

3rd year WR Michael Sage has a 1200 yard receiving season. With all the emphasis on 1.4 pick Butch Diaz, Sage should get a lot of opportunities to make some plays.

I think I speak for all members of the Toros organization when I say that every single part of Mr. Goodwin is always welcome to visit our facilities.

And just to be clear, by "part of Mr. Goodwin" I'm referring to his penis, and by "facilities" I'm talking about the vaginas of our female staffers.

[b4432323]QB Emmanual Cole is lost for the season[/b4432323].

The Militia's offense was stacked to have a nice season of clock control to take pressure off the defense. Alas, in the last pre-season game Mr. Cole blew out his elbow and may never be the same. It's a sad day in Militia world.

1. Well, the rebuild didn't go as quickly or as thoroughly as I wanted it to so we will be stuck in the sub-mediocrity range of about 6-10.

2. Honolulu wins the ROF.

3. It's hard to go against the favorite, Huntington Beach.

4. Morris Moore does not start every game he is healthy for in the 2028 season and ends up disgruntled or livid before the end of the season.

5. Gerald Becker snipes some starts from Morris Moore and Vegas finds out he's not the answer either.

6. Sees limited action and proves why he should only see limited action.

7. Fonzie fails as chocolate and learns that peanut butter just needs some Wonder bread.

Damn, dude... Saw that this morning.. I see it's said "very serious injury and not career ending"

I think he'll be fine after his injury but he'll be out this whole season.

I think we finally hit mediocrity and go 8-8, which for Chicago is soaring to new heights.

Last season: 5-11 This season: 8-8

2. Winner of our division: Cleveland Flat out owns it, and I don't think anybody else in the division is capable of stealing it.

3. Boston Bees.... Gotta go with the Champ, but.. Cheesehead has Honolulu on the verge of a great wave

1 - 11-5. Only if our defense doesn't tank.

2 - Sure, we'll win the ROF.

3 - Boston repeats

4 - Lanner has his final hurrah with a bounceback season to his standard, then retires.

5 - TT makes 5 FOF related rants about how stupid the game is. He only makes coherent sense in one of them.

6 - Fonzie actually sees Ms Johansson live and has an "accident". His wife makes him sleep on the couch for a month.

Do rants about how stupid GM's are count?

What do you mean if the defense doesn't tank? You're the GM, right? Meaning you pick the talent...and you're the defensive coordinator for all practical purposes, right? So tell us, is the defense going to be good or bad? How many questions am I allowed in a single post?

If the defense doesn't tank? One year as the division champ and you're padding the path of good intentions with lame excuses? I think you mean you should repeat if you don't choke and do a lousy job.

Let's try this:
no
that they do very poorly compared to last year
yes
pick talent yes, but dice rolls affect what's called
don't know
12
yes
no

Hope that answers your questions.

Hmmm, so you are a few dice rolls away from being either good or bad...I guess that breaks down FOF 2007 for all intents and purposes.

That's #1, right? Or do you need more "ranty"?

1. 8-8: I didn't fundamentally improve my team in the offseason, so repeating 10-6 will be difficult.
2. Santa Antonita: Their roster is stacked. We'll still try to split the head-to-head series.
3. I don't know why, but I like Hartford, they'll make things tough for Boston in their division.
4. This Wally Wooden guy looks pretty good. I think we'll keep him. 1000+ yards, 90+ catches, and 10+ TD's for the man.
5. Leland Wellins stays healthy all season and records the first double digit season sack total in Pride history. (yeah that is pretty sad)
6. Raven Hawk and his wife are blessed with another child through adoption, contributing to a short period of neglect to GM duties for the Pride.

1.) 9-7 or 10-6 It's so hard to tell in the Yankee Division because I would never of thought that we would go 13-3 last year. This year I think we have a tougher schedule too.

2.) Boston I think has the tools, but who knows. Only certainty is Huffman is out of the division.

3.) Bowl Champion is a crap shoot. Boston won it last year from the wild card spot. Maybe Honolulu can pull it off this year.

I just hope some of the winning ways carry over this year and to avoid major injuries. Then maybe the Brawlers will have a shot.

Had to go the karma route, hey.

1) I'm thinking 11-5 is a possibility. This could be the last hoorah for some of our vets.

2) I concur with RH that the Stingers will take the division. But I like our chances based on our depth and the fact that Cole is done for 36 weeks.

3) This could be the year that Bert Foster takes his place as MVP of the CFL Bowl. Huntington Beach over the Stingers.

4) The QB controversy in Tucson is nothing compared to the cat fight between Cuthbert and Johanson. The Toro players lose their focus as a result and miss the playoffs.

1) This will be another rebuilding year, so not much to expect from Death Valley.
Offense still not existent, but I like how the defense is coming together.
Being cautiously optimistic that this young D can keep me in somes games, so Im going with 4- 12.
2) Huntington Beach
3) Huntington Beach again, at least this will make me feel better about the 2 perennial losses a year.

I just hope SS Terrell can finally stay on the field without getting injured

(1) 5-11 I think we are headed in the right direction as a team, but losing Cole for the year will set us back 3 or 4 wins.

(2) Stingers - Just too much for the Pride to match this year.

(3) Cleveland Flats

(4) Bart Godfrey has a real shot at the ROY.

(5) Sean Smith will play better than management expects, earning the team multiple trade options of high draft picks from opposing teams.......

1. 10-6 if we start Robbins, 6-10 if we start Paulk.

1. Off by three games, but in a good way. I'll take 13-3 over being right.

2. Um...

3. Um...

4. Um...he started the first 15 games, until Paulk got into "demanding trade" territory. Paulk then got the nod in Week 17 and (accidentally) in the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Robbins didn't seem to care about being benched, so I'll count this one as "wrong."

5. Um...can't I just have both? Please?

In short, I was 0 for 5. Fantastic.

[quoted646f8b="Aamalin"](1) 5-11 I think we are headed in the right direction as a team, but losing Cole for the year will set us back 3 or 4 wins.

(2) Stingers - Just too much for the Pride to match this year.

(3) Cleveland Flats

(4) Bart Godfrey has a real shot at the ROY.

(5) Sean Smith will play better than management expects, earning the team multiple trade options of high draft picks from opposing teams.......[/quoted646f8b]

1- Team exceded expectations by 2 games and we are very excited to get Mr. Cole back next year.

2-Bingo! Although it wasn't the Pride pushing the Stingers, it was New Orleans.....

3-Hmmmm......A swing and a miss....

4-Bingo!! Bart's season went downhill after his mild hammy, but showed enough to prove that he's the real deal.

5-After a pretty good start, coach Kemp benched Mr. Smith to preserve his health for future trade value....*cough*....He's available everyone!! Step right up!!
