Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers

We fumble at the Oregon 2, next drive we fumble at their 22, 2 drives later we throw an INT at their 6. These are extremely huge given we lost by 3.

We've had 4 home games so far this season and lost 3 of them.

This season is turning into a disaster. It's just one thing after another on offense this season.

GG Raider.

Very convinving win against the Militia. The game was over early and we went into cruise control in the second half.

GG Tulsa.

QB Mathews goes down. Backup throws three picks and loses a fumble, kicker misses two field goals (now 6 for 11 on the year), and we lose 19-10. Winslett will get all the snaps this week, but overall the morale is a bit low after starting the season 2-3. Bright spot, we did block two punts.

GG Durham. You knocked us around for a lot of the 1st half, but we really took over in the 3rd quarter.

I go into rebuild mode and I'm leading the division, wtf?!

What good are 10 draft picks when they are in the middle of a round?

As the dejected Militia team walked off the field after taking a serious ass-whooping from a clearly fired up and talented Stingers team, the veterans on the team thought to themselves that perhaps they had started to read their newspaper clippings a bit to much. After the game Sean Swift was looking for a clipboard.....and Emmanual Cole was seen shaking his head in disgust.

Good Game Shooter... We faced the measuring stick and we found ourselves very, very short.

[b2ac8a8a]Fonzie's Super-Fun Quick-Hit Recap-a-Thon[/b2ac8a8a]

MoMo bounced back from last week's misery to lead the Rounders (3-2) to a 23-20 OT win over division rival Arizona (0-5). 244 yds and 2 TDs for the QB earned him POG honors.

Barbarians (4-1) QB Brian Bauer was evidently pissed that his team was losing 14-6 at the half at home against Durham (1-4). So pissed that he came out of the tunnel and threw three TD passes in the third quarter to rally his team to a 33-22 win. Good for Brian.

Oregon (4-1) continued their Ice-cool rampage through the Ring of Fire, defeating their second consecutive RoF foe by three points. Honolulu's (2-3) first five drives ended thusly: punt, fumble, fumble, half, interception. The Blue Pacific valiantly rallied for 18 points over the last quarter and a half, but it wasn't enough.

The tight match between Santa Cruz (4-0) and Denver (0-5) wasn't over until the very last play of the game. Irving Norried had pushed Denver down the field 58 yards to the Santa Cruz 8 with :22 left, but a penalty and four incompletions later the game ended 20-16.

Tulsa's (3-1) Tyrus McChane pulled off an exceptionally rare feat for a linebacker today, racking up a hat-trick of interceptions (with another pass defensed to boot). With Tulsa's offense only managing field goals, they needed the pick-six he contributed in their 19-10 win over El Paso (2-3).

Another day, another 300 yard passing performance from Bert Foster. He did his usual thing in leading undefeated Huntington Beach (5-0) to a 26-16 win over Fargo (2-3). Yawn.

Texas (3-2) and Death Valley (0-5) alternated shutout quarters in this one. The Inferno wound up with better point differentials during their quarters, allowing them to lock up a 24-13 win.

Considering that Henry Nevarez threw three picks, Atlantic City (2-2) did well to keep limit to a 3-point loss to Cleveland (3-1). This game featured a total of 14 punts. So there's that.

It isn't often that a team can score a 23-point victory while fielding a QB who completed less than half of his passes, but that's precisely what New Orleans (3-2) did today in their 34-11 pasting of St. Louis (1-4). The Raging Horde's running game did the heavy lifting for them, racking up 214 yards.

Carl Bradford had a near-perfect day (QB Rating of 151.7) in leading Shreveport (3-2) to a 24-3 drubbing of Omaha (3-2). Casey Wolf led the Arrowheads on a nifty 79 yard drive in the 4th quarter, but turned it over on downs at the 1 yard line to seal the deal.

San Antonio (5-0) set the tone early in this one, jumping out to a 21-3 first quarter lead over Tennessee (3-2). That lead expanded to 38-3 at halftime, allowing the Stingers to cruise in the second half to a 45-15 win.

Boston (4-1) also scored a big first half over Chicago (1-4), but they did it with defense. Two fumble recoveries for TDs helped them build a 24-0 lead at halftime. That would hold up for a 30-3 rout.

Seattle (3-2) looked to be in trouble early, falling behind Tucson (2-3) 17-6 at the half. But Hunter Walker rallied the Spartans in the second half and put them in position to kick, and make, a 52-yd FG as time expired to escape with a 25-24 home win.

Detroit (1-3-1) and Brooklyn (3-1-1) played to a 24-24 tie. I hate ties.
