Hopes are high again in Death Valley. After back to back losses the pressure was mounting on the team to prove its veteran starters could shape this young team into a cohesive unit. Two weeks later it seems they have began to really hit their stride with consecutive wins by a margin of 10 or more points.
The defense has held opposing teams to less than fourteen points in the last three consecutive games. Hunter Strong already racked up 32 tackles and Tracy Mosby also has churned out three sacks this season.
Quarter Back Micheal Vanderjagt has struggled with critical fumbles and interceptions throughout the season, but has shown improvement in recent weeks. Third year running back Junior Wolfe has lifted the struggling offense on to this shoulders as well; averaging over four yards per carry in five outings.
