STAFF HIRING

During the first stage of Staff Hiring, all staff (Head Coaches, Offensive and Defensive Coordinators, and Scouts) who were under contract the previous season may only receive contract offers from their most recent employer. Coordinators provide the only exception to this rule: they may receive a Head Coaching offer from any team during this stage. Violation of this rule will result in the offending owner's export being disregarded for the Stage 1 Staff Hiring sim.

Staff Hiring stages 2 and 3 will be run normally. Staff who were not under contract the previous season may receive offers from any team at any time.

Time to change this one. It's not fair at all.

It's the "Rich Stay Rich" rule.

Or maybe the "Economics Don't Matter So Squander Away Because You Can't Lose Your Coach" rule.

And the proof is pretty obvious.

Yeah, from what I understand FOF7 will change coach hiring, so this will probably be the last year that we have this rule.

It's not a deal-breaker. I'm not disgruntled about it. I just don't think we need it.

I don't really care either way. If I remember correctly, the reason we added this rule was because coaches rarely leave their current team because they get more money elsewhere. Let's wait and see how FOF7 handles coach hiring - I am expecting that it will be an obvious choice to get rid of this rule next season.
