I'm almost organized as the new commissioner and I have updated a lot of outdated information that was on the site. Next I'm making a list of everything that I want to do for this league (it will be a huge list). After that I will prioritize the list and will gradually add some new, fun things.

So, does anyone have any suggestions for what they would like to see? What would make the league more enjoyable for everyone? Any suggestions will be considered and appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Oh, also, if you find anything else on the site that is out of date or incorrect please let me know and I will fix it. Thanks again.

1) Automated Uploads
2) Season-Long Calendar
3) Draft Utility

1. A constitution of some sort
2. A thread for every export, listing which teams you have exports from

[quotea08710f="TLK"]1. A constitution of some sort[/quotea08710f]

This might be the most important thing for us to do in the long term. We had talked a bit about the things that should go into one before, but never (to my knowledge) completed a document.

Thinking more short-term, I would put a particular emphasis on creating a draft utility. That would help solve the biggest bottleneck for league progress. Clearer communication/confirmation about exports received/missing would also be nice.

These are great suggestions! Thanks, guys. Keep them coming!

I am working with VPI to get an upload script working. Until that time I will create a thread that lists all of the exports that I have received.

Would anyone be willing to volunteer to form a small constitution committee to write our constitution?

Here are a couple of links to constitutions of other leagues. We should be able to get a lot of ideas from them about rules, format, etc.

IHOF
HFL

Also, here is a thread on our board where we discussed some possibilities:

http://www.thecfl.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=422

I'm looking for one or two volunteers to help me create our constitution. Let me know if you want to help out.

I have created a calendar for the month of October. I will work on future months soon. Do you like this format instead of the list in the sticky thread?

Being they show up on the transaction log, I think we could probably stop using the forum to announce them.

What are you referring to here? I don't know what the pronouns refer to.

Sorry, somehow managed to leave out what I was saying. Pretty much I'm meant to say we should eliminate the requirement to post position changes.

Great news! I just got an email from Tredwel, the commissioner of the eNFL, and we will be set up to use his draft utility early next week! So that gives us plenty of time to try it out and prepare for next season's draft.

Excellent news on the draft utility. Let's all remember to send TredWel a fruit basket. :)

And Taco, I'd be willing to sit on the Constitution Committee. You should know, however, that this is my first online league and thus I have no experience in such matters. So you shouldn't be surprised if I include Articles proclaiming that "Tucson rocks" or that "Tucson shall receive the first pick in every year's draft" and so on. ;)

Tucson rocks! :) And Tulsa too! Thanks, Fonzie and Doug for helping out with the constitution. I'd like to find some time this week to discuss it together, hopefully on AIM chat. Are you two free on Monday or Tuesday night? My schedule is flexible on those nights so if you two can find a time that works then I should be able to make it as well. Just let me know.

Thanks again!

I teach Monday nights, so Tuesday would work better for me. However, I don't yet have one of those AIM thingies. I'll try to have an account/handle established by then.

Dola -

And you are quite correct - Tucson absolutely rocks. But we rock in a Jack Black kind of way, so take that for what its worth. ;)

Guys:

I'd be more than happy to help in some way, too, but my schedule is absolutely swamped this week between classes, papers, and Black Tuesday (aka my 30th birthday..... :? ). If, though, you want any feedback on your initial drafts or proofreading or whatever, I'd be glad to chime in with my 2 pennies. :D Just lemme know.

And no, I'm not posting this in an effort to get an article added that says "Boise also rocks," though such language in the constitution would be most welcome -- as well as true. 8)
