Oh well. Not sure about this one.

Home field advantage
Turnovers even
Hold New Orleans to 50% completions
Outgain them by 100+ yards
Penalties about even
Rush for 200+ yards
Score 37 points
+11 minutes time of possession

New Orleans roars back scoring 21 points in the 4th quarter to win by 4.

Timely fumble on the 2nd to last drive, I guess. Good game.

Sorry. Sometimes this game just make you want to Rex it and not waste your time.

Full Ushi treatment (typos and all) for an old head like Marv.

Must be something to that global warming because Alaska was a clean crisp high 60s in February. We are gonna hit those edges but won't be overly run-heavy as I am a bit concerned about ALAs downfield passing out of the 113 sets.

Think the team that manages to run against a solid front will edge it out, let's see.

We come out pounding and the bust rook RB coughs it up but our vet OL jumps on it. Promptly after getting into FG range we eat a sack on our first dropback but then hit slot Sensation Sasaki for a 40 yard catch and run TD. ALA booms-and-busts their way to midfield and converts a 3rd and short with ease before coming up short in the orange zone and pinning us at our 2. We don't even need 3rd down to push it out 5-10 yards at a time to midfield but then eat a sack and have a failed complete on 3rd and 10. Rb Caballero gashes us for the 2nd time to get ALA across midfield a couple offsides calls helps ALA move it closer and another big run sets them up with 1st and goal and they punch it in early in the 2nd to tie it up.

4 snaps gets us into a 1st and goal but the run game dries up and its another failed complete on 3rd and a FG to go up 3. Big KR across midfield negated by a hold on ALA but they matriculate the ball down the field all the same until Marsh gets strip sacked at our 34. We proceed to put the ball right back on the ground but RB Shapiro falls on it. We get right back to business setting up another 1st down at the 9 and deep man Donaldson reels in a shot to back of the endzone to put us up 10 just before 2M. Nice KR sticks this time for ALA and they get it down to our 8 with 32 seconds left and inexplicably kick with 20 seconds left on 2nd down (out of TOs perhaps).

We are up because we are 3/# on fumble recoveries, that said our O is humming and ALA has got some boom runs but otherwise isn't moving it well. Big if, but if we can keep it clean in the 2nd I think we have enough to roll by.

Pass rush comes out hot but March finds TE Springer on 3rd and 15 but the next 3rd and long come sup short and they try a 53 yard FG and cut the lead to 4. We get to midfield but then rusher Winslett puts an end to our ambitions with back2back pressures. ALA comes out in empty and hits Lukes way downfield for 39 but throws 3 straight incompletes from there and we take over deep at our 6. I didn't realize it but QB Johnstone has worked himself up to 17/19 (2 sacks) and gets us to midfield and then Shapiro rips off a chunk on the right edge to get us near the RZ again but a 3rd and 3 run coems up 1 yard shy and we opt to kick the FG.

ALA comes out pummeling with more than a half dozen runs and a couple short passes to TE to get their own RZ possession and the pitch cutback finds the endzone to tie things up with 11 minutes left. This is masterful ball control offense from both sides, we are at 10 ypa and they are at 7 ypc (>200 yards) and 7/10 on 3rd with both teams near 400 yarrds.

A drop and hold sets us back and Johnstone throws his mandatory FAR QB INT to set ALA up at our 26. We stop the draw on 2nd and long after getting a sack and Marsh has to scramble on 3rd and long but K Corcoleotes goes stud to mare shanking the 40 yarder. We throw short on 3rd and 10 after grinding out 3 minutes or so and opt to punt from their 48 facing a 4th and 2 with 5 minutes left- ALA takes over at their 11. ALA rips through our passing D on 3rd and 3 right up the A-gap and if facing a 3rd and 2 at our 43 at the 2M mark all tied up.

It's the TE of course and they dink and dust their way to our 30 and send the 47 yard gamewinner but NO, it's shanked right.

Heading into OT we really got to get them all the field on 3rd where they are 9/14 while we are 2/7 (it's like we are playing ourselves here) we've both run around 60 plays so look for one of the savvy Ds to capitalize.

ALA gets right back to work on the ground but this time the TE can't convert the 3rd and short and a holding penalty on the PR makes us start back at our 13. We hit our best man Rice on the Corner for 20 and then dink and dust our way to their 28 then promptly eat a familiar sack and barely avoid 2 more hurries so it'll be a 48 yarder to win it...and it just squeaks by.

What a game--- tbh there were 2 times I thought we were gonna lose and I was okay with that, was just like "hat's off man your guys played great and you exploited a weakness of ours"

Making an offering ot the Fumble Luck gods tonight for sure.

GG Seattle. Our D did a good job holding you to 10 points and created a few turnovers even though we lost our nickel back for the rest of the PO. Your team did a good job this season. PO race was an interesting one this year. And you ended an 11 year PO drought for the Seattle team.

Next up we have Las Vegas. Not sure I want to count the number of times we've exited the POs playing LV. Hoping this will be a revenge game from our loss earlier in the season in Miami.
