Hosting ALA should be a good one, they stifled us the last time we met but we have leaned more into Johnstone and being efficient and shored up our edge defense and if we can hold up against their ground game I think our backend can contain the passing attack.

We march down with a balanced attack for an opening TD converting 2 3rd and shorts. They are pounding us across midfield but take a big sack and uber athlete Palos hauls in a 32 yarder to convert and we don't put up much resistance as they also tie it up on 3rd down. We can't do much taking a sack of our own and are lucky to recover a fumble.

Yet again we offer little resistance as they make it to paydirt again needing jus tone 3rd down conversion. 2 big runs give us a spark to get to the orange zone but 2 intermediate passes later we tie it up. ALA can't be stopped but we get them to hold on 3rd and 10 and there's no deep route available this time but we take over at our 1. We battle oru way into the orange zone once more but can't overcoem a sack and ALA takes over with the clock nearing 2M. ALA plays it conservative even inside a minute and that's the half.

Just 4 possessions each I think in the first half and both teams over 6 ypp and balanced. Will come down to which D can tighten the screws or more likely force a TO or two it would seem.

We get a 3andO on D with a Marsh misfire on 3rd and 5 and start near midfield. We dink oru way to FG range and then RB finds the edge once more for paydirt. Another nice showing form our D who is tightening up and has pushed ALA under 50% completion. We are getting to the sling it part of hte GP and Johnstone gets us down to the 1 with a DPI but ALA holds the line so it's a 10 point lead but the clocks already down to 18 minutes. 3rd scramble by Marsh is a big one to get across midfield but they stall and grab 3 points with a long FG to start the 4th.

Slot man Sasaki who has really come on the last few game has a huge catch and run to get us to the RZ and sits at 5/5 for 105 and think he drew the DPI as well. We come up short on a 3rd and 20 downfield but sitll get oru F gto push it back to a 2 possession game. ALA gets their own YAc chunk to get to FG range and battels back wiht another scramble after draing a holding call and WR COleman takes short pass in from 19 yards out to make it a 3 point game with 7 minutes left. We get a failed complete on 3rd and have our first maybe 3andO of the day so ALA takes over with 5 minutes left. But 2 run stuffs in a row lead to an LAA failed complete on 3rd so we will get a shot to run out the clock from 3 minutes starting near midfiel donce more as ALA's punts have been very short. We run ALA through their TOs and have a tough choice at the 35 but opt to punt it away so ALA has exactly 1 minute with no TOs to get a FG. They get 2 completes but its short stuff so they aren't even at midfield when the clock is at 18 ticks and espite one lat downfield grab there's no time left.

Wow great game Marv, teh way we teambuild is so similar on defense with our 34 and even our pound and downfield passing offesnes. Glad it wasn't marred by a sloppy game from either side with both teams at 50% on 3rd and over 6 ypc on the ground.
