The Rockets played their starters for the majority of the game, and were led by running back [b5b46f38]Terrell Keith[/b5b46f38] who rushed 31 times for 122 yards and 1 score. Tampa Bay got their first look at rookie quarterback [b5b46f38]Nolan Shannon[/b5b46f38], who was 5-10 passing for 53 yards, 0 TDs, and 1 INT. He also rushed twice for 7 yards.
The other game (New York Knights at Fargo Boxcars) started off quickly with two touchdowns in the first 8 minutes, but it was only field goals the rest of the way. Fargo came out on top 16-13 and kicker [b5b46f38]Ricky Griffith[/b5b46f38] was named player of the game.
The only significant injury of the week was to Tampa Bay tight end [b5b46f38]Wes McGregor[/b5b46f38], who suffered a pulled groin, but is expected to be back to full strength before the regular season opener. McGregor was Tampa Bay's 1st round draft choice a year ago and caught 62 passes for 717 yards and 3 TDs in his rookie season.
