For some reason my export file is messed up. I didn't zip it or do anything at all to it, but for some reason my computer associates the file (it is a .001 file) with WinRar, and this is apparently causing problems for Doug when attempting to import the file.
It's not an emergency as I can switch over to my laptop and redo my export if necessary, but I figured I'd post this here anyway to see if anyone had any ideas for correcting it.

In Windows Explorer, click "Tools" and "Folder Options". On the third tab named "File Types" mark the "001" extension and click "Delete". Click OK.

I am still getting the same problem when I try to download his file, it keeps trying to save it as a Rar zip file or something, I am wondering if this is a problem on my end? Is there anyway I could check for this?

The last file I sent was from my laptop, so I have to think the problem is not on my end.

ok  the file now saves correctly but when i look in the import folder it is still in the rar format. I checked and did what 3Ric said again- the file was not saved in that format, any ideas what should be done?

I downloaded the file on my roommates computer and it downloaded not in that format...then i redownloaded it and it seemed to work. Are you sure you sent the most recent export in from the most recent file? should be stage 2...i will hold off on the sim to hopefully get this problem resolved.

Ok I sent another try. It's possible that I didn't have the newest game file when I switched over to my laptop, so hopefully this one works.
